The difference between Taipei Fubon Bank North Tainan Branch is due to the challenges faced by physical banks in the digital age and the era of pure online banking. Taipei Fubon Bank (referred to as "Fubon Bank") invited sustainable development consulting company Plan b as a brand consultant to think about how to innovate brand image and brand value tasks. Among them, "redefining the value of physical branches" is the key entry point.
Plan b believes that the best way to create a bank space that everyone is willing to visit and stay in is to make people forget that they are in a bank. They proposed "20% space renovation thinking" to Beifu Bank, and when planning to open a new branch, 20% of it was The space is redesigned and switched to a casual atmosphere like a bookstore or coffee shop. The warm wood-tone space and a large number of curved designs present an image of the brisk flow of time, opening up a different banking experience from the past. The space is subdivided into different areas, with a giant book wall running through it. With the use of sliding doors and curtains, it can be freely combined and divided into flexible spaces. The concept of the "Proposal Wall" on the side was transformed from the bank's suggestion box. People's experience of waiting for their number to be called at the bank is transformed into an active "time proposal". Different experiences are prepared here, ranging from 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes. You can sit and have a rest, enjoy tea, look at exhibitions, read magazines, and discover the story of Tainan.
"Small Island Culture SIDOLI RADIO" is specially curated and brings together 10 reading soundscape storytellers
In order to deepen the local relationship, the sound design team "SIDOLI RADIO (Small Island Culture)" established by Fang Xuzhong, You Zhiwei, and Lin Kailuo was specially invited to set up the "Moment Story - Tainan" exhibition, 10 Tainan-related figures who serve as "Reading Soundscape Storytellers" include Golden Melody Award-winning Taiwanese singer Hsieh Ming-you, the head of the Kouwei Family Li Yu, the manager of Niao Fei Antiques Store Ye Jiahong, the head of Benshi Space Production Studio Xie Xinye, and others. The themes of "Local Culture, Professional Ability, Self-Growth" are paired with private book selection recommendations, so that the public can immerse themselves in sharing and discovery while reading through auditory guidance of different lengths. Every time you listen is an encounter with people, books, and the world.
Based on the ancient map of Fucheng, BALLBOSS created "I Used to Go to the Bank in Ancient Times". BALLBOSS, who also dabbles in theater and illustration, also created the "I Used to Go to Banks in Ancient Times" series of paintings for the North Tainan Branch, which are scattered in the branch's negotiation room. In this set of paintings based on ancient maps of Fucheng, the author puts the "bank" and the "people" who come to the bank into Tainan's past time and space. The various scenes in the painting are full of interest, such as investors gathered around to watch the market like a wild stage opera, oxcarts carrying goods for loans, cash machines on the Taijiang sandbank... and other conflicting and humorous scenes, bringing out the various "physical relationships" condensed by banks, connecting ancient and modern times.
The space also uses a large number of Taiwanese design products, including Afteroom, Qimu Design, TG × Naoto Fukasawa, etc., as well as experiential projects with local units in Tainan, such as Zhan Bookstore, Caoqi, Tainan M's Coffee and Fengcha, to deepen local connections and beautifully preserve the exclusive memories of this place.
As for the part that connects with wealth, Plan b puts forward two highlights of "trustworthiness" and "competence" from the many service characteristics of Fuyin North.
