In front of Gonghai Gate, I saw an alpaca. The owner put a bunch of red flowers around her neck. It was really festive. Dangar Ancient City is located in Huangyuan County, Qinghai, on the north bank of the Yellow River, at the source of the Huangshui River, 40 kilometers away from Xining City. Confucian Temple has now become Chengguan No. 1 Primary School in Huangyuan County.
This school was founded in 1920. This primary school is the earliest modern school in Qinghai. The first batch of modern intellectuals in Qinghai came out from here.
Local specialty snacks, stuffed skin, fish noodles, jelly and cold noodles are very delicious. The sweet fermented grains are made from highland barley.
I also like to eat the yogurt here. It is specially made for sale by the Hui compatriots in Dongguan, Tanger City. It is quite unique. The yogurt is as white as fat, tender in texture, fresh in taste, cool and slightly sour. Adding a spoonful of sugar makes it sour and sweet, cool and delicious, which can quench thirst, relieve summer heat and whet your appetite.
I saw a dog peeing on a local pasta, and I was very curious about the meaning of the name. Dog peeing is a pancake fried in rapeseed oil. Many years ago, local residents often used small ceramic pancakes on their kitchen stoves. The oil pot holds rapeseed oil. When frying pancakes, the action of pouring oil along the edge of the pot with a small oil pot is like the posture of a dog peeing on the wall, so it is called "dog urine". At the 2010 World Expo, dog urine was participated in the World Expo as a Qinghai snack. The name was changed to "Qinghai Cabbage Cake" because of its indecent name. However, what we see on the street is still the "dog pissing" sign. Although we can change the name, we cannot change the local customs and accents.
