The Democratic Progressive Party lost the election, and Lin Zhijian took the blame.
The Democratic Progressive Party released a review report for the election defeat. It concluded that the reasons for the election defeat were the DPP's involvement in black gold , problems with public security in Taiwan, and the plagiarism of former Hsinchu Mayor Lin Zhijian's papers.

The Democratic Progressive Party recommended Lin Zhijian to run for mayor of Taoyuan. Halfway through the election, Taipei City Councilor Wang Hongwei of the Kuomintang Wang Hongwei exposed that his master's thesis was suspected of plagiarism, and even the typos were exactly the same. The DPP had to temporarily change candidates, disrupting Tsai Ing-wen's layout, and the DPP ultimately failed to win Taoyuan City.
Lin Zhijian expressed dissatisfaction with this. failed to win the mayoral election in Taoyuan, and Lin Zhijian is fully responsible. He is definitely the person most responsible for the Taoyuan election. However, it would be an exaggeration to assume that Lin Zhijian is responsible for the failure of the entire election. What's more, the entire report only named and criticized Lin Zhijian, which somewhat embarrassed Lin Zhijian.
According to Lin Zhijian's own complaint, running for mayor of Taoyuan was not in his plan this time, and Lin Zhijian was forced to do so. Whether Lin Zhijian half-selected or was forced to appear is not the point. The point is who dominated the entire nomination?
is obviously Tsai Ing-wen. In order to develop her own "British faction", Tsai Ing-wen recommended her confidants to run for the election and forcibly canceled the primary election. According to the poll, 44.5% of the respondents believe that Tsai Ing-wen should be mainly responsible for the results of the "nine-in-one" election. Only 12.8% of the respondents believe that the person most responsible is Lin Zhijian, 7.9% think it is Taipei City candidate Chen Shizhong, and 5.9% think it is the head of the "Executive Yuan" Su Zhenchang.

But Tsai Ing-wen, who should be most responsible, was perfectly invisible during the entire defeat review meeting. Lin Zhijian, Su Zhenchang and others were pulled out to take the blame for Tsai Ing-wen, but Tsai Ing-wen herself hid behind and did not dare to show her face.
small review reflects the big problem
Why does this phenomenon occur?
First of all, although Tsai Ing-wen has resigned as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, she still controls the Democratic Progressive Party. The current acting chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party is Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai, the head of the "Executive Yuan" is Su Tseng-chang, and the leader of the review team is former Taoyuan Mayor Zheng Wencan. The three of them are Tsai Ing-wen's confidants. Although Tsai Ing-wen has left, her power is still there. Even if other people in the DPP have grievances and unwillingness, they dare not speak out.
Secondly, the DPP has no intention of reflection at all. The outside world has been calling for internal reform of the DPP, but the DPP goes in and out of one ear. After Tsai Ing-wen resigned, her first thought was not self-examination and correction, but how to maximize her own interests and how to compete for the chairmanship of the Democratic Progressive Party. Although they all belong to the Democratic Progressive Party, they have already been divided into many factions. Each faction is intrigued by each other, and they all want to kill each other, and they have no energy or thought to manage the party.

Opinion polls reflect public opinion, and public opinion is clear. Tsai Ing-wen is required to admit her mistakes and Su Zhenchang is asked to resign. However, the DPP is still living in its own world. The review results are contrary to public opinion. I wonder if it is too confident or too arrogant?
According to a poll conducted by the "Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation", Taiwanese people's recognition of the Democratic Progressive Party has dropped by nearly 11%, which is equivalent to the Democratic Progressive Party losing 2.07 million people who identify with it. At the same time, satisfaction with Tsai Ing-wen is only 46.6%, and dissatisfaction is as high as 49.1%; while satisfaction with Su Tseng-chang is 39.5%, and dissatisfaction is 51.5%. If the Tsai Ing-wen authorities continue to be so stubborn, they will completely lose the support and trust of the Taiwanese people.
