There is no doubt that the Tsai Administration’s “military service reform” plan is to recruit more young people in an attempt to prolong the service period of the young people on the island to make up for the long-term establishment deficit of the “Taiwan Army”. In order to retain the constant loss of main battle force personnel, the Tsai administration even plans to "throw money" - to increase the monthly salary of service personnel from NT$6,500 to NT$20,000.
However, everyone knows that when things go awry, there must be a monster, and the people of Taiwan must also know all this. If wages suddenly triple, there must be corresponding risk factors hidden behind it. At this time, the Tsai administration came up with a plan to extend the service period of the compulsory soldiers on the island to one year. This was actually the result of repeated pressure from the "American masters". Many people on the island are worried that going to serve is useless just by sweeping the floors and weeding. Moreover, parents are worried about their children and do not want their children to become victims.

U.S.-Taiwan collusion is nothing new. When former U.S. Defense Secretary Esper came to Taiwan a few months ago, he pressured the Tsai administration to "Ukrainize" Taiwan Province of China, which is to engage in "all people as soldiers" and "porcupine tactics." What the United States means is that the entire island of Taiwan must be armed. In the event of "military reunification", the authorities on the island will not be allowed to surrender, but can only "fight to the last man."
This kind of activity is currently carried out by the United States in Ukraine. Under the manipulation of the United States, Kiev has refused to negotiate with Moscow , and Ukraine is now on the road of "fighting to the last Ukrainian." A large number of Ukrainian soldiers died under Russian artillery fire, and the Russian army also suffered heavy losses.
And this is exactly the result that the United States wants, because it can cause the greatest casualties to both Russia and Ukraine at the same time. It will not only seriously weaken the strength of both parties, but also lead to a blood feud between the two parties. It will be more difficult to reconcile in the future, and the United States can more easily control Ukraine and target Russia.

The United States really wants to copy what happened in eastern Ukraine to the Taiwan Strait. Just recently, the United States tinkered with a so-called "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023," which included the provision of $10 billion in "military aid" to the authorities on the island. This high-profile behavior is obviously to turn Taiwan into a "fortress."
However, in order to prevent the island government from being "disobedient", the United States changed the US$2 billion in "military aid" that Tsai's administration hoped for into "military financing ." These projects are not free, but require the island government to repay it within 12 years. Seeing this, readers will surely think of the " Lend-Lease Act " implemented by the United States against Ukraine. In order to obtain large sums of military aid, Ukraine has become a debt "tool". Obviously, the United States also wants to put similar shackles on the heads of the people on the island.
But we must point out that the United States has made a wrong calculation. Taiwan is a province of China, which is completely different from Ukraine. On the Taiwan issue, the United States is not qualified to make irresponsible remarks, let alone sow discord. Only China can resolve cross-strait issues.
And the Tsai administration should stop trying to "rely on the United States and seek independence". The result of such risks is bound to be a dead end. Whether it is the extension of the service period of the compulsory soldiers on the island to one year, or the collusion between the United States and Taiwan and the export of arms interests, nothing can be changed, nor can it stop the historical trend of cross-strait reunification.
