Taichung City woman surnamed Li, her foreign husband, and one-year-old son were hit by a bus turning left when they were passing by the intersection of Xueshi Road and Yingcai Road in North District at about 11 o'clock last night. Li and her child were taken to the hospital and died. The bus driver argued that the light was green at the time and he did not see it because it was dark. The police are trying to figure out the cause of the accident.
According to the investigation, a woman surnamed Li (30 years old) was pushing a stroller carrying her 1-year-old son with her foreign husband at around 11 o'clock last night. They were passing by the intersection of Xueshi Road and Yingcai Road in North District. At that time, a bus was turning left from Xueshi Road to Yingcai Road. It was suspected that the three of them were not noticed and it did not brake. It hit the bus directly. Li and the stroller were hit and died in hospital.
The bus driver argued that he was about to turn left when the light turned green and it was dark. He did not notice that the police were checking the monitor to clarify the incident. The whole case will be investigated as a crime of negligent death and submitted to the prosecutor for examination to clarify the cause of death. ( United News Network )
