Among the more than 1,500 characters confirmed to be included in the first and second volumes of "Biography of the Communist Party of China", there are 10 Zhuji natives including Yu Xiusong, Zhang Qiuren, Xuan Zhonghua, Xuan Xiafu, Cai Shuhou, Wang Shouhua, Zheng Futa, Qian Zhiguang, Feng Wenbin, and Jincheng, accounting for one hundred and fifty of the country.

★In April 1930, Zhuo Lanfang, an inspector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, came to Zhuji to lead the Zhuji peasant riot. On April 22, the riots began in the west town of Zhuji. Peasants in the North, East and South Districts organized riots one after another, conquering five police stations in the Kuomintang, Sandu, Shixiang Nong, Paitou, Wangjiajing and Fengqiao, and an anti-smuggling camp. More than 3,000 people participated in the riots, and nearly 100,000 people got the benefit of losing warehouses and distributing grain. They also established the first people's armed forces in Zhuji - the First Battalion of the East Zhejiang Peasant Revolutionary Army, and established the first people's regime in Zhuji - the Soviet Government of the North District of Zhuji County. Although the Zhuji peasant riot lasted for only one month, the revolutionary wave affected Pujiang, Yiwu, Fuyang and other counties, expanding the party's influence in northern Zhejiang.
