IT Home July 7th news, Micron officially announced the launch of its DDR5 DRAM for the next generation Intel and AMD server and workstation platforms. New DDR5 Server Memory maximizes performance for AI, HPC and other data-intensive applications and workloads.
It is said that the new server/workstation system performance is 85% higher than DDR4 DRAM due to the DDR5 memory feature.
IT Home learned that Micron said that the new DDR5 server memory has the following main advantages:
The new architecture almost doubles the memory bandwidth, which can greatly improve efficiency
Increases the JEDEC speed to 4800MT/s, 1.5 times faster than DDR4
can provide up to 64GB of modules to provide memory-intensive workloads
optimizes overall system operation through DDR5's innovative architecture improvement and module power management function.
