In the early morning of February 26, 1936, a group of young officers stationed in Tokyo, Japan led some troops to launch a mutiny, targeting the then Japanese Prime Minister Keisuke Okada and several cabinet politicians.
The reason why this group of young officers launched was very simple "respecting the emperor and chasing traitors" and "clearing the ruthlessness", because the scale of this organized mutiny was unprecedentedly grand and was also rare in Japanese history. This is the final step to truly start the "going crazy" mode of the Japanese Army. Almost all important Japanese cabinet members who oppose and indirectly oppose have become the primary targets of young officers.
Speaking of which, since the army officer Kawamoto Dasaku created the "Huanggutun Incident" that shocked the world, this undoubtedly set an example for these young officers: this allowed Japanese young officers to see "what is unscrupulous". After killing a country's leader, the final punishment was only demotion and fine.
This undoubtedly opened the era of "ravada" of the army, but the real kick was the young Japanese army officer stretched out his devil's hands to the members of the Japanese Prime Minister's Cabinet:
Before the February 26 Incident, many politicians heard the rumors that the young officers were about to go wild. On January 28, young officers declared that they would work hard for the "commandering power crimes". Some fanatical senior leaders directly took out 500 yuan for "spiritual support". This acquiescent behavior encouraged the young officers' arrogance. Keisuke Okada, who was then Prime Minister, also heard about this and immediately issued a statement in Congress that he hoped to please these young army officers.
However, Prime Minister Keisuke Okada, who was born in the navy, has been listed as the first target for young army officers to be eliminated, and there is almost no room for turning around. On the day of the incident, a large group of soldiers had a fierce gun battle with the guards of the Prime Minister's residence. In the end, the Prime Minister's secretary Yunzang Matsuo had no choice but to run out to claim to be the Prime Minister and was directly knocked down and shot by the young officer.
For this reason, Okada hid all day, and then ran away the next day as a guest who was attending the Prime Minister's condolence meeting. There are many luck components here. The first officer Kurihara, who confirmed the death, took out the photos and compared the bodies of Okada and Matsuo. After confirming that it was Okada, he shouted Emperor 0,000 years old.
vs. Okada, the other politicians are not so lucky! The gate of the Takahashi Takahashi's residential house was kicked open by soldiers. The minister, who had cut the huge military expenditure of the Japanese Army in one blow, was pulled out of the bed. After he angrily scolded the officer for being idiot, he was beaten into a hornet's nest. Even a rebel officer slashed an arm with a saber as a spoil and stabbed him dozens of times in the abdomen.
Of course, there are several other cabinet ministers who have experienced the same thing. There is no doubt that since then, this group of lawless young army officers have completely ignited the Japanese fanatical war machine.
