On December 4, 2020, the Hainan Provincial No. 1 Intermediate People's Court publicly sentenced Zhang Jiahui, former vice president of the Hainan Provincial Higher People's Court, to bribes, administrative abuse of justice, and fraud cases. The defendant Zhang Jiahui was sentenced to in prison for accepting bribes and fined RMB 3.5 million for accepting bribes; to 10 years in prison for taking bribes and fined RMB 500,000, and decided to execute 18 years in prison and fined RMB 4 million.
