According to the investigation, at around 23:00 on June 14, 2022, the person involved Li Mouping (male) was driving an electric motorcycle while drunk. The motor vehicle lane of Binhai Avenue, Xiuying District, Haikou City was driven from west to east, and the car was carrying Wang (female), Li (female), and others. The vehicle drove to the intersection of Binhai Avenue and Yongwan Road. When the traffic lights at the intersection were in red light, Li Mouping forcibly passed and accidentally collided with a small ordinary bus that turned left from east to south. The accident caused the driver Li Mouping, and the passengers Wang Mou and Li Mou to be injured to varying degrees.

Haikou traffic police believe that Li Mouping was drunk and drove an electric motorcycle, did not wear a safety helmet, and illegally carried people, and violated traffic signals.
