Expert discussion meeting on "Division and Assessment of B&B Service Quality Levels"
On May 4, 2017, the "Division and Assessment of B&B Service Quality Levels" was held in the conference room of Pingtan Tourism Industry Association. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Danting, Secretary-General of Fujian Provincial Information Standards Association. A total of 30 people, including President Ding Chenxing, Director Huang Jian of the District Tourism Development Bureau, B&B Standardization Assessment Expert Group, B&B member units, etc., participated. The meeting discussed the standards for the classification of quality levels of homestay services, and finally formed the standards for star evaluation of the homestay industry to standardize industry services.

On May 17, 2017, the Fuzhou-New York Route (Pingtan) promotion meeting was held in the Strait Hall of the Kirin Honor Hotel. The district management committee, district tourism development bureau, Pingtan Tourism Industry Association, and a total of 46 members were invited to participate in the promotion meeting. The opening of the Fuzhou-New York route has built an air bridge for the hometown of overseas Chinese (Fujian) and New York, promoting the healthy development of a fresh Fujian.

On May 1, 2017, the Pingtan Tourism Industry Association and several member units participated in the "Pingtan Beautiful Countryside Construction under the Background of International Tourism Island" sponsored by the Pingtan CPPCC. The seminar made many constructive explorations in the construction of beautiful Pingtan villages, creating characteristic rural tourism, building new rural areas, and promoting the construction of Pingtan International Tourism Island .
Pingtan General Mountain Scenic Area Creation National 3A-level Tourism Scenic Area Review Conference
On May 24, 2017, under the guidance of the District Tourism Development Bureau, the Pingtan Tourism Industry Association organized the "Jiangjun Mountain Scenic Area Review Conference". Wang Xinjian, deputy director of the District Tourism Development Bureau, Jiang Ling, Xue Heping, deputy general manager of the District Tourism Group, and representatives of enterprises from various tourist attractions attended the meeting. The expert group carefully listened to the work report on the creation of a 3A-level scenic spot in the General Mountain Scenic Area, and then visited the General Mountain Scenic Area for review and put forward valuable rectification opinions on the scenic area.

On May 25, 2017, the Pingtan Tourism Industry Safety Knowledge Exchange Meeting was held in the conference room of the Pingtan Tourism Industry Association. Liu Wenlin, deputy director of the District Tourism Development Bureau, Lin Xinbao, head of the Management Section, and representatives from various travel agencies attended the meeting. On May 25, 2017, under the guidance of the district management committee, the "2017 Pingtan B&B and Rural Tourism Integration Development and the 55th Fenghuo Cultural and Creative Forum" co-organized by Pingtan Tourism Industry Association, sponsored by Pingtan Tourism Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Beigang Cultural and Creative Village. Xiamen Cultural and Creative Association, Pingtan Tourism Industry Association and Pingtan B&B operators participated in the forum. This forum introduced the overall planning, resource display, and investment promotion policies of our district’s homestay. This summit forum pointed out the direction for the development of Pingtan B&Bs, and Pingtan B&B operators have also learned a lot of experience in B&B operations.

On May 26, 2017, the official WeChat platform of Pingtan Tourism Industry Association was officially launched. The platform aims to serve the government and enterprises, and provides member units with the latest tourism policies and industry information, so that members can understand the association's daily work dynamics while also strengthening the communication and interaction between the association and member units.
