After World War II , with the collapse of the Western colonial system and the awakening of the colonized nations, the world ushered in a wave of independence. 20 years ago, some countries that were once colonized began to make compensation claims to the West, with an amount of nearly 900 trillion US dollars. So how did the Western countries respond and what progress is there now?
1999, the African "Committee on Compensation and Truth" held a meeting, pointing out that the powerful Western colonized Africa on a large scale, trafficked and killed the African people, and committed unforgivable crimes. "All Western European countries, American countries and related institutions that participated in and profited from slave trade and colonization" must now pay a huge sum of $777 trillion in five years for their evil deeds of enslaving Africans to compensate for the sufferings suffered by African black slaves for hundreds of years.
Based on the number of tens of millions of Africans in the slave trade, as well as diamonds, gold and other rare minerals plundered by Western powers from Africa, the Compensation Committee conducted an overall valuation of US$777 trillion.
In addition, the committee believes that the foreign debts borne by all African countries must be "unconditionally cancelled"; if Africans who are trafficked to the West want to return to Africa to settle, the West must pay transportation costs for them free of charge. Ms. Debira, chairman of the committee, pointed out: " Jewish has compensation, Indian has also, and Korean comfort women... and we are the only group that has not received any compensation so far."
In fact, Ms. Debira may have made a mistake, and almost none of the colonized groups have received compensation. But no matter what, a stone stirred up a thousand waves, and Africa's declaration of demanding colonial compensation resonated with countless once colonized countries.
In 2001, leaders of various countries gathered in Durban, South Africa to convene a world-wide conference on racism for the first time, and passed the historic Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, which issued a powerful call for the elimination of racism. Among them, the Durban Conference clearly stated that these countries have the right to ask for compensation from former colonists.
In the following years, many countries and organizations began to make compensation claims: Caribbean Fourteen countries claimed 7.5 trillion pounds, and the black American group claimed about 20 trillion US dollars. Indigenous people from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Latin American countries were also making claims, of which US Indian Indigenous people claimed 35 trillion US dollars. If the 777 trillion US dollars claim in Africa is calculated, the total amount of claims made by colonized countries from the West is close to 900 trillion US dollars, which is probably a huge claim that has never been seen before.
However, it is through colonialism , slave trade and other means that Western countries have obtained primitive accumulation, promoting their rapid development in modern times. It can be said that without colonialism and robbery, Western countries would not have modernization and would not have the extremely wealthy life now. Therefore, claims from colonized countries are undoubtedly just. In addition, the amount seems to be sky-high, but in fact, compared with the losses of the colonized countries for hundreds of years, this amount is not an exaggeration.
So, in the past 20 years, how did Western countries deal with justice claims from colonized countries? In fact, we all know that they cannot compensate and cannot even talk.
First, veto and boycott.
In the past 20 years, several resolutions have been passed as the "Durban Document", but supporters are developing countries , or countries that have been colonized, while European and American countries have almost unanimously rejected it.
Last year, the United Nations held a high-level meeting, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, and passed a series of declarations. However, more than 20 Western countries including Britain and the United States inexplicably boycotted the commemorative meeting on the grounds that the so-called "Declaration is against Israel and anti-Semitism " and refused to attend the meeting.
Secondly, Western countries always pretend to be deaf or deaf when it comes to compensation.
In the past 20 years, the West has been pointing fingers at the racial issues of other countries, always condemning others from the moral high ground, but never faces the claims of colonized countries. It seems neither denies nor affirms it, but in fact it regards it as a joke and disdains it.
Third, some European and American scholars have excellent debate skills, completely turning black and white.

Fordwich downplayed British colonial crimes, accusing the "seller" of the African talent of the slave trade supply chain and should claim compensation from the "source". Then he brazenly said that Britain was the first to abolish slavery, claiming that 2,000 British Navy soldiers died in battle to prevent the slave trade, and the descendants of these soldiers should also be compensated.
In other words, on the issue of African black slaves, Britain is not only innocent, but also full of justice. Africans should thank the UK, so Britain does not need to pay a penny, and even the descendants of 2,000 soldiers should be compensated.
In fact, once the West compensates in full, it may face the problem of national bankruptcy. A wealthy life will be lost and becomes a poor country. So how can compensation be given? Moreover, Western countries have always been in and out for hundreds of years, and they have been habitually robbing and plundering. Now they will stop plundering countries that have been colonized, and they will not discriminate against minorities. How can they provide compensation? Therefore, just listen to the "fairness", "justice" and "equality" that Western countries always claim. They are so hypocritical and hypocritical.
Finally, justice appears in the barrel of a gun. Without strong strength, the claim of a colonized country is destined to be like a mirror. Without strong strength, justice may be absent forever.
