Rosa is 55 years old this year and is the wife of Polfirio Robb, the 54th President of Honduras. Last year, the U.S. government had banned former President Robb from entering the country on the grounds that he was charged with drug trafficking. Their son Fabio was sentenced to 24 years in prison for entering the United States with cocaine. was sentenced to 24 years in prison by the US court.
From 2010 to 2014, she embezzled more than $1 million in government funds during her husband's presidency.

In March this year, she was again tried and was charged with fraud and embezzlement of public funds. She was sentenced to 14 years in jail on Wednesday. Her private secretary was also sentenced to seven years and three months in prison on Wednesday for fraud.
Court spokesman Carlos Silva said Rosa could appeal the judgment within 20 days.
