Steve Nash (Steve Nash), born on February 7, 1974 in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a former Canadian professional basketball player. He plays as a point guard and is nicknamed "Son of the Wind".

2009-2010 season, Nash played 81 games for the Suns, averaging 16.5 points, 11 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. Leading the team to a record of 54 wins and 28 losses in the regular season, entering the playoffs with the third place in the Western Conference. In the playoffs, he led the Suns to defeat Portland Trail Blazers 4-2 in the first round, and swept the Spurs 4-0 in the second round. In the Western Conference Finals, he lost to , Lakers 2-4.
2010-2011 season, Nash played 75 games for the Suns, averaging 14.7 points, 11.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. It's the fifth time that it's the league's assist. As Amare Stoudemire switched to the Knicks in the summer of 2010 and the Suns did not introduce good players, the Suns only achieved a record of 40 wins and 42 losses and failed to enter the playoffs.
2011-2012 season, Nash shrunk to 66 games due to labor-management agreement issues. Nash played 62 games for the Suns in this shrinking season, averaging 12.5 points, 10.7 assists and 3 rebounds per game in 31.6 minutes of playing time. Failed to make the playoffs.
