Many babies are marked before they come to this world. When the baby comes to the world with this mark, it becomes a "birthmark". Some birthmarks can make people feel that their baby is an angel, while others make parents at a loss. So which birthmarks are normal and which are signs of disease?
The birthmark that does not require treatment is the following:
Mongolian spots
The so-called Mongolian spots are very common in newborns, the blue and black spots. This type of patches mostly occur in newborns of yellow people, and rarely appear in white people. Although black babies can also appear, it is difficult to see due to skin color. This birthmark does not require treatment and will disappear naturally as the baby grows.
And these two birthmarks can be cured or not:
1, Ota mole
In "Water Margin", one of the four great classics in China, there is a character named "Yang Zhi, a green-faced beast". There are large blue-brown spots on one side of Yang Zhi's eyebrows and eyes, and spots like this are "Ota mole".
Some babies are born with Ota moles; while some babies only appear after the age of 10.
Ota mole grows on the face, with a large area and a dark color, but it has no harm to health, but it will not disappear with age. Therefore, if you feel that it has an impact on your life, you can use laser therapy. And if you don’t think it’s any impact, you can choose not to treat it.
2. Fresh erythema mole
Fresh erythema mole may appear when the baby is born, or may appear shortly after the baby is born. It appears as one or countless lavender, lavender, or red patches with clear boundaries.
Fresh erythema moles often occur on the forehead, bridge of the nose, back of the neck, and between the eyebrows. In most cases, the erythema mole does not disappear automatically. And it will also show different changes as you get older. In most cases, pressing the bright red spot mole will not fade, and only a very small number of patients will have symptoms of pressing the color.
This kind of bright red spots generally does not cause physiological discomfort. Only a small part will have symptoms of abnormal sweating, and the others are not seriously injured. So parents can also choose treatment or not. The above three birthmarks are less physically harmful to the human body. However, the following two may be signs of a certain disease, and parents need to deal with it carefully:
1, coffee spots
coffee spots, also known as milk coffee spots, this birthmark is the same as its name, like a spilled coffee stain. Most coffee spots do not occur when the baby is born, but only occur several months after birth, or at one or two years of age.
Generally, coffee spots are not painful or itchy, and flush with the skin surface. There is no specific location where it occurs, so coffee spots may grow anywhere. Although coffee spots will increase with age, their diameter generally does not exceed 1.5 cm.
But if the baby suffers from coffee spots and has nodules and lumps, he or she needs to go to the hospital for a detailed examination to see if there is a combined fibroid and whether surgical resection is required.
2, Strawberry Spot
Strawberry Spot is a hemangioma that stands out from the skin surface, and is medically called "capillary hemangioma". The appearance mostly looks red, a bit like strawberries.
Strawberry spots usually appear a few months after the baby is born, begin to grow after several months, and grow to the largest at one year old. More than 75% of children can disappear completely or not completely automatically between the ages of 5 and 7. Therefore, many doctors will advise parents to observe whether they can automatically subside, and then consider whether they need to perform laser elimination.
It should be noted that parents should remind their babies not to touch the strawberry class frequently, as it is prone to ulceration and bleeding, and in severe cases, infection will occur. The most important thing is that before the strawberry spots are eliminated, parents should promptly relieve their baby's psychology and not cause psychological disorders.
Although many birthmarks do not threaten the baby's health, they have a relatively large impact on appearance and also have a great psychological impact on the baby. Therefore, parents should still consider it carefully and deal with it in a timely manner.
