As a traditional event, Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake Open Water Challenge has been held for 35 sessions, and they are also a stop for the World Marathon Swimming Tour. Although the young water horse started late, it is also growing rapidly. According to reports, the cooperation content of the two parties includes strengthening event exchanges and cultural visits. During the event preparation period, the two parties can send employees to conduct event organization and operation training and exchanges, expand employees' horizons and improve employees' abilities. Both sides can also form a swimming group to participate in each other's events, providing more communication opportunities for swimming enthusiasts in Wuhan and Taiwan. Taking these two major competitions as an opportunity, the two sides will also use this to promote cooperation between cities, including inviting urban culture, tourism, sports, education and other institutions on both sides, and using youth group activities as a carrier to promote urban nature, humanities, study tours, history and other resources, and establish and gradually strengthen urban cooperative relations.

Shuima hopes to promote the improvement of the water horse competition, organization and management standards through cooperation with traditional events like Taiwan's Sun Moon Lake Open Water Challenge, and ultimately build Shuima into an event with international influence.
