The first "Swordsman" was planned to be filmed in early 1988. At that time, the film investors and Red Top White. Even though Hu Jinquan was the pioneer of martial arts movies, after his reputation and box office hits, no one asked him to film.
At that time, Tsui Hark invited Hu Jinquan to come back to film "The Smiling and Proud Wanderer". At the beginning, Hu Jinquan was grateful and excited to do everything himself. Although "The Smiling Proud Wanderer" sold for HK$16.05 million, it is a fact that the loss is true. Xinbao Entertainment may be afraid of Tsui Hark and will never follow up on the sequel. The whole story revolves around robbing " Sunflower Book ". During the Ming Dynasty, the "Sunflower Book" was stolen.
