According to the requirements of the "Implementation Opinions of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of the Examination and Enrollment System" and the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Doing a Good Job in Independent Enrollment Work in Colleges and Universities in 2019", Tsinghua University will fully implement the Party's education policy and carry out independent enrollment work in 2019 around the talent selection concept of "comprehensive evaluation, diversified selection of the best, recruiting according to aptitude, and promoting fairness".

Institutions and Principles
Tsinghua University’s independent enrollment work is under the leadership of the Tsinghua University Undergraduate Enrollment Work Leading Group, the Tsinghua University Admissions Office is responsible for the organization and implementation of specific work.
Independent enrollment certification and admission work shall be determined according to the principles of comprehensive evaluation, fairness and justice, and preferring to be insignificant than to be insignificant. The school’s discipline inspection commission and supervision department shall supervise the entire process and shall accept social supervision.

The enrollment majors include: construction, civil engineering, environment, chemical and new materials, machinery, aviation and power, energy and electrical, electronic information, computer, automation and industrial engineering, mathematics, chemical and biotics, clinical medicine, economy, finance and management, and general knowledge of arts and sciences.

1. Application type and application requirements

2. Application form filling requirements
Please fill in and submit the application materials online according to the following requirements. 1. Initial evaluation: Tsinghua University will organize an expert group to conduct preliminary evaluation. The subject expert group will review students' subject expertise, innovation potential, etc. based on their comprehensive performance during high school. The initial evaluation results of
are divided into three levels: excellent, pass, and fail. Among them, "excellent" students can be exempted from participating in the preliminary examination and directly enter the re-examination. Students who "passed" can participate in the preliminary examination. Students who "failed" cannot enter the subsequent assessment and evaluation stage. The initial evaluation results will be announced in the registration system. The application conditions submitted by the initial evaluation "excellent" and "passed" students will be announced in accordance with relevant requirements on the Tsinghua University Undergraduate Admissions Network and the Ministry of Education's "Sunshine College Entrance Examination" platform. After the public announcement, the initial evaluation results will take effect.
2. Initial Examination: Students who "passed" the initial evaluation of need to participate in the first examination organized by the school. The preliminary examination adopts the written test form, and the subjects are: mathematics and logic, science comprehensive (materialization). The results of the preliminary examination will be announced in the registration system.
3. Re-examination: school will determine the list of first-instance passes based on the students' initial examination scores. The content of the re-examination includes but is not limited to professional inspections, physical fitness tests, etc., and is conducted within Tsinghua University. The results of the re-examination will be announced in the registration system.
4. Certification: The results of the independent enrollment certification will be discussed and approved by the Tsinghua University Admissions Leading Group and announced in the registration system according to relevant requirements on the Tsinghua University Undergraduate Admissions Network and the Ministry of Education’s “Sunshine College Entrance Examination” platform. The results of the certification will take effect after the public announcement is no objection.

certification method and preferential policies
1. The school will select the best students to give independent enrollment and professional certification based on the students' initial evaluation, preliminary examination and re-examination situation. The discount score reduction for independent enrollment is generally not more than 20 points. For some particularly outstanding students, the discount scores can be appropriately relaxed. Those who reach the first batch of undergraduate degree control in the same subject (municipalities directly under the central government, autonomous region) where the students are located will be given priority admission.
2. The college entrance examination scores (including policy bonus points) of the certified students should not be lower than the first batch of admission control scores for the same subject category in the province (the provinces that combine undergraduate batches are the corresponding independent enrollment control scores). The professional applications filled in the independent enrollment batches in each province must be consistent with the recognized professional category.
3. Students must participate in a physical fitness test. Physical fitness test items include: height, weight, lung capacity, step exercise test, sitting forward bend, and standing long jump. Those who do not participate for no reason will be disqualified from Tsinghua University's independent enrollment certification. For students who can obtain independent recognition discounts, those with excellent physical fitness test scores will be given an additional 5 points reduction.
4.Accredited students can be invited to participate in the following special training sessions: (1) Formulate targeted training plans to promote students' better and faster growth; (2) Priority recommendation to participate in the training plan for students' scientific and technological innovation teaching in accordance with their aptitude; (3) Priority recommendation to participate in the overseas academic research support plan for undergraduate students; (4) Providing professional tutors to students; (5) Priority recommendation to participate in various types of students' cutting-edge science and technology innovation teams, etc.
5. The preferential scores determined by independent enrollment are referred to the final simulation filing line of Tsinghua University's undergraduate first batch (or the corresponding batch specified by each province) when enrolling in college entrance examination. The final simulation filing line is calculated and generated by the provincial admissions office of the origin of students. The preferential scores of students in Zhejiang and Shanghai will be converted, and the conversion method will be announced separately.
6.Tsinghua University's 2019 independent enrollment certification results will not be sent in a written agreement. The recognition results and instructions published in the registration system will be used as the final basis for independent enrollment. Students are advised to read them carefully.

2. Students should provide true and accurate registration application materials based on the principle of integrity. If there is false content or conceals major facts that may have adverse effects on the students, once verified, they will be immediately disqualified and informed to the provincial admissions examination institution where the students are located; if they have already enrolled, their academic status will be cancelled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education and Tsinghua University, and the graduation certificate and degree certificate will be cancelled if found after graduation. Middle schools should carefully verify the materials issued. If there is a fraud, Tsinghua University reserves the right to take relevant measures.
3. There is no charge for registration and testing of Tsinghua University's independent enrollment. If students have difficulties in participating in the re-examination due to family financial reasons, they can apply for funding from Tsinghua University.
