On the morning of December 21, the Yantai Municipal People's Government Information Office held a press conference on the interpretation of the "Yantai Dog Riding Management Regulations".
Regarding the banned strong dog html types and large dog standards, the public security department, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, referred to the list of breeds prohibited banned in other cities in China, and combined with the actual research of our city, the shoulder height and body length standards of the banned breeds and large dogs were determined. They fully listened to the opinions and suggestions of professionals such as the Municipal Dog Industry Association, solicited the opinions of the general public on the website, and formed the final list.
At present, the banned breeds in our city are tentatively 53 strong dogs; dogs with dog body height (the vertical distance from the highest point of the dog shoulder to the ground) exceeding 65 cm or body length (the distance between the dog shoulder point and the outer edge of the buttock end) exceeding 100 cm are large dogs.

The "Yantai Dog Riding Management Regulations" was adopted at the 39th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th People's Congress of Yantai City on August 26, 2021 and will be officially implemented on January 1, 2022. In order to conscientiously implement the "Yantai City Dog Raising Management Regulations" and guide citizens to raise dogs in accordance with the law and civilized dogs, the standards for fierce dog breeds and large dogs listed in the city's prohibited breeding list are as follows:
1. The main breeds of fierce dogs prohibited breeding (not related to shoulder height and body length)
Tibetan Mastiff, Pit Bull , Wolf Green , Afghan Hound , Japanese Akita Dog, Japanese Tosa, Bulldog, Horse Dog, Big Schnauzer, French Wolf Dog, Snow Dog, Blood Hunter , Irish Wolf Dog , Belle Hound, Bullmastiff , Pyrenees Mastiff , Napole Mastiff, Big Blue Gascone, American Bully Dog, Rowe, Doberman Dog , French Bordeaux, Czech Fosk Dog , Monsterdog , Lancier, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Boeing Dane Hound , Bernese Mountain Dog, Big Bear Dog , Great Dane , Malema, Mastiff , American Stafford Terrier, Border Terrier, Newfoundland, Boxer Dog, Sharkdog , Saint Bernard , Spinoy, Weimar, Spanish Garner Lidog, Italian Naples, Argentine Doggo, Argentine dog, German Shepherd , Soviet Russian Shepherd, Russian Black Terrier , Casrot, Brazilian African leopard, Grand Gasco-Santondog, Central Asian Shepherd , Russian Caucasian dog, Eshtrera Mountain Dog (dog breeds not included in this banned list, and those identified as strong dogs by the public security organs and agricultural and rural departments in accordance with international standards are prohibited).
2. Standard forbidden to raise large dogs
Dogs with a dog's body height (the vertical distance from the highest point of the dog's shoulder to the ground) exceeding 65 cm or a body length (the distance between the dog's shoulder point and the outer edge of the buttocks) exceeding 100 cm (including body height 65 cm and body length 100 cm) are large dogs.
This list and standard will come into effect on January 1, 2022.
