Changlin Village, a famous water-shanghongye Village in eastern Hubei, is located in the Huayuan Reservoir Reservoir Area in the northeast of Shizi Town, Qichun County. It has an area of 7.2 square kilometers and an average altitude of 450 meters. It is a mountain village integrating mountainous areas, reservoir areas and old areas.
In recent years, the village has based itself on its own advantages and guided by the concept of global tourism development, developing rural tourism and promoting rural revitalization.
Changlin Village takes advantage of the geographical advantages of many islands and long coastlines in the region, adheres to the development concept of "green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains". With the help of Qichun County Finance Bureau, County Transportation Bureau, County Culture and Tourism Bureau, County Water Conservancy and Lake Bureau and other departments, it integrates resources and projects, and seizes the unique resource advantages of the reservoir area and immigration project policies to develop green industries.
The village has a long history of growing tea. In 2020, not only did the original 800-acre tea base be improved and upgraded, but also newly developed 300 mu of tea gardens, and built a green and high-yield tea base with a total area of 1,100 mu, forming a 7-kilometer tea belt in the reservoir area, driving employment of more than 100 poor households.
At the same time, around Changlin Village's picturesque scenery all year round, a series of attractions such as the village history museum, tea garden walking trail, water red leaf observation deck, and Changlin Tianhu have been established, and special farmhouses and resort inns have been established. Restoratively, the "flying sons become forests" of the Wuzhu tree has grown rapidly along the island coastline, and has shown initial results. As autumn begins, the reservoir shoreline in Changlin Village and the red leaves on Qixing Island attract many guests from surrounding cities such as Huanggang, Wuhan, and Huangshi to visit.
