
The Chinese Tibetan Studies Research Center’s Book Gift Ceremony to the Library of Kunshan University of Science and Technology Photography: Song Jiali
China Tibet Network Kaohsiung May 27 (Reporter: Song Jiali) On the morning of the 26th, an academic visiting delegation from the China Tibetan Studies Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the Tibetan Studies Research Center) arrived at the Library of Kunshan University of Science and Technology in Taiwan for visiting and presented the library with a Tibetan Studies themed book.
Academic Exchange Group is headed by Wang Weiqiang, deputy director of Beijing Tibetan Hospital of Tibet Research Center. In addition to scholars in Tibetan medicine, social economy, contemporary and historical research, the members also come from the magazine "China Tibetan Studies" Publishing House, Beijing Tibetan Studies Hospital, China Tibetan Studies Press and other units. At the book donation ceremony of
, Wang Weiqiang introduced the development history of the Tibetan Research Center and the scientific research achievements made in recent years to the guests, teachers and student representatives who participated in the book donation ceremony, and expressed his willingness to strengthen broader exchanges with Taiwan's academic circles, especially those related institutions and scholars of Tibetan Studies. He hopes that through this book donation activity, more Taiwanese compatriots can understand a real Tibet in the development and change through books and other publications.
It is reported that the books donated by the Tibetan Studies Research Center this time include books on various fields of Tibetan culture, religion and social development, etc., such as "Animal and Modern Tibet", "Reincarnation of Living Buddhas - Origin, Development, and Customization of History", "Tibet Customs", and "Research on the Shared Growth Benefits of Tibet Industrial Interaction". In addition, some scholars who visited the group also donated their works to the Library of Kunshan University of Science and Technology. Such as "Research on the Tibetan Policy of the Communist Party of China" by Dr. Wang Xiaobin, a researcher at the Contemporary Institute of Tibetan Research Center, and "Tibet Noble Family" by Tsering Yang, an associate researcher at the Institute of Social and Economics.

Kunshan University of Science and Technology is a famous private institution with 6 colleges, 16 doctoral and master's degree research institutes in southern Taiwan, and nearly 14,000 people. The school was founded in 1965 by Li Zhenghe, a native of Zhangye, Gansu. The university has a rich collection of libraries. In addition to serving the teachers and students of the school, its collection and facilities are also open to the community. A relevant person in charge of the Library of Kunshan University of Science and Technology said that this book donation activity is of great significance to the library. While meeting the needs of college teachers and students for reading Tibetan-related books, these books can also use digital technology to provide a reading platform for people in the form of e-books in the entire Taiwan region who love Tibetan culture and care about the development of Tibet. The library hopes to establish a long-term book exchange mechanism with the Collection Research Center, and as this type of book continues to expand, it plans to create a special collection for books involving collections for the school to read. While visiting academically, it was able to keep a number of excellent books in the field of Tibetan studies in my country in Taiwan, which played a positive role in the positive dissemination of Tibetan culture and the introduction of Tibet's development. , the Meihe University of Science and Technology, Pingtung University of Science and Technology and Tainan Middle School alumni association from Tainan region held an exchange with the visiting group. Taiwanese scholars at the meeting showed a strong interest in Tibetan culture and hoped to further understand the current development status of Tibet and the four provinces and Tibetan areas. After the meeting, scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait reached a consensus on establishing a closer exchange mechanism with the Tibetan Research Center in the field of Tibetan Studies; Taiwanese scholars expressed their desire to welcome the Tibetan Research Center to expand the scope of academic seminars to Tainan in the future. Dr. Weng Shunxiang, Vice President of Meihe University of Science and Technology, also sent an invitation to the Tibetan Research Center, hoping that scholars of the Tibetan Research Center will go to the school for academic exchanges in the future. visiting delegation ended its visit to Kaohsiung City on the 27th and went to Taipei City on the same day to attend the Tibetan academic seminar held at China University of Culture and Tamkang University on the 28th and 29th.
