Wang Jinsong, deputy director of the Yangzhou Municipal Health Commission, reported that from 0:00 to 24:00 on the 24th, Yangzhou added 1 new local confirmed case of new coronavirus pneumonia, which was mild and came from a centralized isolation point. This is also the only new local confirmed case in Jiangsu from 0:00 to 24:00 on the 24th.
According to reports, the new cases are the family of the previously confirmed cases. According to the epidemic investigation, the previously confirmed cases were infected by the neighbor next door during the home management of the blocked community, and then spread to the new cases yesterday. Starting from August 18, new cases were centrally isolated and managed as close contacts of confirmed cases. They tested nucleic acid every day until the nucleic acid test result was positive on the 24th, and were diagnosed as confirmed cases by experts.

As of now, Yangzhou has reported a total of 569 local confirmed cases. The number of medium and high-risk areas in Yangzhou is declining. Starting from the 24th, the epidemic risk level in some areas of Yangzhou has been adjusted: Guangling Economic Development Zone, Guangling District and Fanhe Street, Hanjiang District, have been adjusted from medium-risk areas to low-risk areas.
