Many calligraphy enthusiasts asked, how to connect the characters in cursive characters? In fact, there are many ways to connect characters in cursive script. Let me use examples to illustrate three most basic ways to connect: (1) pen connection; (2) meaning connection; (3) text.
"Lu Fengxuan" uses the names of popular film and television entertainment female stars Liu Yifei, Fan Bingbing and Zheng Shuang as an example to demonstrate various ways to connect running and cursive scripts. Friends, you will understand it in seconds if you look at the signatures of the three!

1, Pen Connection
The so-called Pen Connection means that the contextual text is actually connected through strokes. Of course, the thread-pulling joints should be used, and the joint strokes should be lighter and thinner than normal strokes, as shown in the following figure. In a calligraphy, you should not have too many, otherwise the paper will be filled with hair.

2, meaning connected
The so-called meaning connected means that the strokes are broken, and there is an echo relationship between the upper and lower characters, also called "the strokes are broken and the meaning connected". The handwritten signature of "Fan Bingbing" shown in the figure below shows that the word "Fan" and "Bing" form a relationship of broken meaning. This method can be used appropriately in calligraphy.

3, combo
So-called combo , that is, some strokes between the upper and lower characters are interspersed together to form a combo ; or if one of the strokes is omitted when there is a certain common stroke (most dots) to form a combo , the signature "Zheng Shuang" shown in the figure below uses the last point of the "Zheng" character in cursive as the first point of the cursive combo , so that the connection is tight and concise, and does not appear to be cumbersome. This method requires clever application, and if not applied well, it will backfire.
