Korean electronic travel license system (K-ETA) is for foreigners who sign visa-free agreements with South Korea or allow entry without a visa. The trial operation will be carried out from May to August 2021, and the system will be officially implemented in September 2021.

You must complete the K-ETA application at least 72 hours before boarding. Failure to do so can lead to adverse measures, such as not issuing your travel authorization.
K-ETA is valid for 2 years from the date of approval. K-ETA approval does not guarantee access to the Republic of Korea. The final decision on passenger entry will be made by the entry officer during the entry and exit inspection.
K-ETA application for submitting false or inaccurate information will be denied or cancelled K-ETA approval, and the person may be subject to penalties or entry restrictions in accordance with relevant Korean laws. The same applies to those who apply on behalf of the applicant.
K-ETA fee is 10,000 won (about US$9~10, excluding additional fees), and will not be refunded even if the application is rejected.
Even if your K-ETA has not expired, you also need to apply for a new K-ETA if there is any change in your information, such as name, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport information, (passport number, passport expiration), etc.
If your entry purpose, address in South Korea or contact information changes after you obtain K-ETA approval, you need to update such information through the K-ETA website (K-ETA application results - edit information) before entering South Korea. Otherwise, it may lead to adverse measures such as refusal to enter the country.
People who have received K-ETA approval can more easily immigrate through entry because they will be exempt from submitting an entry card when entering.
