design circle annual event was grandly held in Taipei on the evening of 12/11, and the winner of the "Best Design Award of the Year" symbolizing the highest honor was announced! This year, the Golden Dot Design Award and Golden Dot Concept Design Award have nearly 8,000 works participated in the competition. After three stages of selection, 24 winners of the "Golden Dot Design Award for the Year", 3 "Golden Dot Design Award for the Year Special Award", 3 "Golden Dot Design Award for the Year Best Design Award" and 1 "Annual Special Award - ConceptD Creative Unlimited Award" were selected.

2020 Golden Dot Design Award Ceremony is themed "2020", symbolizing that the epidemic without warning has brought many impacts and challenges, but it is like pressing the pause button for the world to develop rapidly, allowing people to break away from the status quo, rethink the meaning of life, and explore a more sustainable future development path. The main vision embedded different levels of light and shadow in the four digital outlines of 2020, presenting a change of light and a dynamic sense, symbolizing that human beings will gradually become clear in the unknown exploration and move towards a new beginning.

This year, affected by the epidemic, the Golden Dot Design Award used physical selection and online selection for the first time to overcome time difference and regional restrictions, allowing domestic and foreign reviewers to connect across the sea, and jointly complete the three stages of initial, resumption and final selection. This year, the jury of the two awards has a strong lineup, gathering 85 judges from 15 places around the world, including Shibata Fumie, Taidaogawa Hideosuke, and Marco. Marco Casagrande, Songya.
