According to the European Union, citing the European Union News Agency, on March 24th local time, the Italian government cabinet passed a temporary decree to approve Ukrainian refugees who are health care professionals to engage in health care work in Italian hospitals or private clinics before March 2023. The premise is that they must complete the COVID-19 vaccination.

According to reports, health workers leaving Ukraine will be allowed to work in Italian hospitals or private clinics according to temporary decrees issued by the Italian government cabinet. Vaccination with the new crown vaccine is a necessary condition for Italian health workers. Therefore, Ukrainian medical professionals who work in medical care in Italy must be vaccinated.
Filippo Anelli, chairman of the National Federation of Surgeons and Dentists (FNOMCEO), said the measure is very important. He stressed that legislation stipulates that medical professionals must receive the COVID-19 vaccine, which is a basic requirement for working in Italy.
Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese also said that as of now, about 67,000 refugees have arrived in Italy from Ukraine. 90% of them are women and children. (Huang Xin)
