Ding Renyu , secretary of the Party branch and deputy director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, doctoral supervisor, and member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Critical Care Medicine Physicians Association of the Chinese Medical Association. He was awarded the title of National Advanced Worker , National Outstanding Party Worker, National Advanced Individual in the Prevention and Control of the New Coronavirus Pneumonia in the National Health and Health System, "The Most Beautiful Doctor" in 2022, " China Good Doctor , China Good Nurse" Person of the Month.
In the year of the college entrance examination, Ding Renyu applied for Chinese Medical University . The idea of becoming a doctor came from when he was in the third year of junior high school. Faced with the painful reality of his grandfather's death, he was determined to cure the disease and save the patient in the future.
Since he started working in critical care medicine in 2006, Ding Renyu has paid attention to the treatment of acute inflammation, coagulation, immunity and organ function damage in severe patients, while also paying attention to clinical practice such as outcomes in chronic severe patients. In 16 years, he has participated in the treatment of tens of thousands of critically ill patients.
In 2020, Ding Renyu volunteered to serve as the captain of the Liaoning critical care medical team to Hubei, leading 150 medical staff from the province's critical care medicine major to Wuhan to fight the epidemic, and took over 80 beds in two critical care wards. At the beginning of the takeover ward, Ding Renyu and his team members actively raised treatment equipment, formulated a diagnosis and treatment process for critically ill patients, provided advanced life support measures for patients with critically re-elected coronary pneumonia, and moved the treatment barriers for invasive mechanical ventilation and other treatment methods forward.
For 56 days and nights on the front line of the fight against the epidemic in Wuhan, the medical team led by Ding Renyu implemented tracheal intubation technology, blood purification technology, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation technology, trying every means to save the patient's life. The medical team established a quality control team to track and improve the quality of medical care , effectively improving the success rate of treatment. Ding Renyu also served as the secretary of the temporary party branch of the Liaoning Provincial Medical Team, leading party members to play an exemplary role. More than 70 non-party medical team members all submitted application for joining the party , of which 11 activists joined the Communist Party of China .
Aiding Xinjiang is Ding Renyu's valuable experience from his doctoral career. In 2017, when he learned that the People's Hospital of Tacheng District, Xinjiang urgently needed the support of critical care medicine experts, he signed up immediately. In May of that year, Ding Renyu came to Tacheng and served as the director and chief expert of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Tacheng Hospital of China Medical University. During his one year of assistance to Xinjiang, he led his team to treat more than 800 critically ill patients.
Ding Renyu unreservedly taught medical technologies such as cardiac ultrasound on the bed to local medical staff step by step, and led the team to formulate a intensive care unit (ICU) diagnosis and treatment process that conforms to the actual situation of Tacheng Hospital and departments, and trained a critical medical team that cannot be taken away for Tacheng Hospital.
"As a doctor in ICU, we face patients on the front line of life and death every day. The core of our work is to guard the last line of defense in life. Whether it is doing scientific research or developing new technologies, it is all to better treat patients." Ding Renyu said.
