Luo Dayou: The entire concert is different from the last time, with more and more content, more and more people participating, and a lot of growth. I hope the audience can feel our efforts.
Beijing Youth Daily: Why is the concert named "Young people who left home back then"?
Luo Dayou: This is because this is a lyric in "Lugang Town". Thinking of this song, the young people who left home had been away from home for a long time. They left home from Kaohsiung to study in Taichung, then went to Taipei to make music, then left Taiwan to the West, Hong Kong, and later lived in Beijing and Shanghai. They left home for a long time than I thought. This process keeps leaving and reuniting, this is a growth story. At the same time, I am also observing young people who have left home, such as Beijing drifting. Nowadays, young people probably need some growth stories to tell them that if they have more experience in life, their lives will be more fulfilling and they can face the next step of life more calmly.
Beijing Youth Daily: Have you ever had any concerns about physical strength?
Luo Dayou: In fact, in more than a year, we have had such a performance in Taipei about every month. First, of course, in order to have better communication with bands and musicians, and then to better polish our guitar or piano skills, and second, to cultivate physical strength. In addition, I often exercise, such as running and swimming. So far, I don’t think there is any problem with the performance for two or three hours.
In fact, singing itself is the biggest trend of every musician, so if you want to stay in the music industry, this kind of live performance must stand the test, which is what every musician must do. Because singing, playing, and performing have become a rhythm of life, which is your breathing, and the stage is where you work. You cannot let the performance on the stage make you very tired. If you are very tired, it means that your performance does not have the right efficiency and breathing mode.

Luo Dayou: No matter what title it is, classics, youth, and shock actually seem inhuman, but Luo Dayou is still an individual. This is the most important thing. When we write songs, we are moved by life. These are because of human relationships, and we are moved by human works. I am moved by the music of previous composers and singers, and then I will create. I find that the creation is meaningful and then there will be new creations. I hope that we can move the next generation and let the next generation know that music is a valuable artistic form of human beings.
Beijing Youth Daily: "The young man who left home back then" is now over 60 years old, and he can still be full of love and persistence for music. After nearly 40 years of persistence, is the motivation coming from?
Luo Dayou: Actually, I don’t know where these so-called motivations are, but it seems that you have to face the places you have run and all the processes of life.
I am a person who writes songs in some places and will leave when I feel that I can no longer get more inspiration in this place. I kept leaving, looking for new encounters, and looking for new reunion through constant separation.This is my way. I think motivation may come from constantly updating myself, constantly updating the place where I grow and live, and finding another one for myself.
Beijing Youth Daily: What is your perception of age? Do you mind others mentioning age?
Luo Dayou: Many people are afraid of getting old now. I think that at what age a person has to face this age state. In the past, Confucius said, "It's thirty, forty, forty, know the destiny, and the ears are obedient." But now this state has been broken because the current state of human survival is not only related to age, but also to health, health, etc. For example, some diseases that we cannot treat have been gradually broken by the new scientific and technological civilization of mankind. Nowadays, people in many places have an average life expectancy of 80 years. What should I do if Confucius did not write until he was 80 years old? It is actually a state of life, life at different stages, so now you say that the state of life in your 60s may have been a state of less than 40 years old in the past. Because human life was much shorter in the past, the concept of absolute value of life has been broken. From the age of 30 to 80 or even 90 or 100, you must make a summary. Luo Dayou: Home is very abstract. A person will probably not leave home in his life, and he will not really leave home unless he becomes a monk. Home is a state of mind, a space where the least people live with you, and you can get the greatest comfort. No matter how many people there are in the family, whether they are a group of children, a couple, or a bachelor, the word home is a sense of belonging. For example, your surname is your root. When you think of your own home, your parents' home, your grandparents' home, and your grandparents' home, that is your destination. Not only do we rely on our destination, our destination will also make us stronger. Because you cannot be ashamed of your parents or ancestors, because you have a surname on your body, and your surname will always follow you, which will of course make you stronger.
Beijing Youth Daily: Many people said after listening to "Home III": "This seems not the Luo Dayou in our impression." In your opinion, is it not the Luo Dayou in our impression?
Luo Dayou: Yes, Luo Dayou is constantly changing. I only realize now that I am different from myself I met ten years ago and Luo Dayou when I just returned to Taiwan in 2014. You keep changing, and one day you will feel surprised and kind when you wake up: How did I become like this? It’s like I have a mobile phone now, which is much better than the one I used last year. Some of its content and functions are not available to old mobile phones. People are changing at any time, because change is the biggest feature of this era.
Beijing Youth Daily: The pace of album release seems to have been slow. How do you consider this?
Luo Dayou: Slowness is to make it survive longer. I think a good song, just like a good song I have heard before, will be passed down for a long time, more than ten or twenty years, fifty or one hundred years, slowness is to achieve this goal.
It took Beethoven nearly ten years to write the Fourth Symphony. Why should we write a three-minute song that will make it sing for thirty or fifty years? It is important to increase the power of the song.

Luo Dayou: Nowadays, young people write songs, because they are influenced by the Internet, there seems to be no changes. But compared with the past decade and twenty years, there have been a lot of changes. I think this has a lot to do with the Internet. The Internet gives us more reference and space, and there are more sources of information.For various reasons, original music has not been widely promoted in the past. I am very optimistic about the future of Chinese music. It is expected to reach a peak in ten or twenty years, and this peak may be global.

Beijing Youth Daily: You said that after your daughter was born, you laughed more times than before her birth. Did her daughter also bring you new creative inspiration?
Luo Dayou: Yes. Because when you get along with your children, you are the least burdened. Especially when she was young, you can express a lot of true feelings.
