Kyoto, Japan, November 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK) is the first new art fair held in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The theme of this year is "Contemporary Art and Cooperation". It is one of Japan's largest contemporary art fairs and will be held at the Kyoto International Convention Center from November 5-7, when more than 50 galleries from Japan, Asia, Europe and North and South America will be exhibited.

ACK's main Venue: Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC Kyoto)
ACK emphasizes four types of cooperation. First, the cooperation between Japanese galleries and overseas galleries. Japanese galleries can propose sharing booths with overseas galleries they come into contact with. This way, it can highlight current global trends while increasing international exposure for Japanese artists. Second, the cooperation between the public and private sectors government participation helps reduce the general increase in art fairs. The participation of private sector ensures eye-catching expertise and appreciation of participating artists. The third way of cooperation is that ACK develops a "co-supervisory" system that is indispensable for ACK to become a high-quality art fair. Finally, by assembling contemporary art professionals, it will also bring new cooperation in other fields, such as digital technology or industrial applications.
ACK Art Fair venue will be divided into two parts - gallery cooperation and Kyoto Conference. The former brings together 22 host Japanese galleries and their 23 overseas invited galleries, while the latter includes 9 galleries that exhibit works of Kyoto related artists. In addition, ACK will hold Beyond Kyoto (outside Kyoto) events in the free space and online Kyoto Next at the main venue of the Kyoto International Convention Center to create more opportunities to convey Kyoto contemporary art information to overseas Kyoto art, from crafts to contemporary art, and will also appear in other projects such as Alternative Kyoto 2021 and events held near Kyoto City. Alternative Kyoto 2021 is an art festival organized by Kyoto Prefecture and held in various places under Kyoto Prefecture.
ACK is postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the exhibition has taken all-round measures to open to avoid infection. If the invited gallery cannot come to Japan for exhibition due to epidemic-related restrictions, the host gallery will be responsible for arranging and displaying their artworks to ensure that the invited gallery can also participate in ACK. In addition, ACK can be accessed online through a digital platform.
