This dance troupe, known for wearing white masks, white gloves and baseball caps, was founded in San Diego in 2003. The allusion of the group's name comes from a poem in the mirror called Jabberwocky in "Alice's Dream in the Mirror of Wonderland". They mostly performed in SD and LA. After participating in the second season of America's Got Talent in 2007, they became well-known and won the first season championship with an unstoppable momentum at America's Best Dance Crew in 2008.
"Randy Jackson Present America’s Best Dance Crew" created by Randy Jackson, judge of " American Idol American Idol", ended the first season of the competition and also gave birth to the first American best dance team, which is Jabbawockeez.
Masked Dancer team was founded by a group of friends who wanted to show off their free style dance. In that era, the Hip-Hoph trend was prevalent, but there were some dance teams with the same style everywhere, and the dances performed by the dancers seemed to have been cloned. The balance between "dance is to follow the rhythm of music" and "dance as an artistic expression". Therefore, the birth of the Masked Dancer was born.
Jabbawockeez launched the special "Road to Luxor", which records the process of Jabbawockeez preparing for the Luxor Hotel special performance in Las Vegas . Their dances are further transformed, mature and diversified. Each person has a solo in the video, which feasts fans.
JABBA had 7 people in the early days, one of whom was named GARY died of pneumonia, so when they reached the ABDC, they had only 6 people. Most of their dances have movements pointing to the sky at the beginning and end, which is to commemorate their lost teammates. Their dances are divided into 10 people, 7 people, 6 people and 3 people. Each member has a different dance and life background, which brings a diverse style and perspective to the entire team.
