"They told me that as long as I go to Cambodia , I can earn 35,000 yuan in a month!" A 14-year-old Guangxi boy was cheated into Xigang and sold it to an online investment company, and was forced to engage in fraud.

htmlOn the morning of January 27, a reporter from Cambodia interviewed three former online investment practitioners and learned from them how to be deceived, how to come to Cambodia, and how to be rescued. At the same time, I hope that through this article, we will warn young Chinese people, even relatives, friends, and fellow villagers, whoever introduces work in Cambodia, must be vigilant!

Xiao A from Guizhou is 29 years old this year. He said that he was deceived by friends from the same village who had been together since childhood. At that time, I saw a friend posting an advertisement online saying that he was working in Cambodia and his monthly salary was as high as 20,000 to 30,000 yuan. When I was moved, I sent a message to my friend for details and emphasized that I didn’t know how to do computers. As a result, my friend replied that I couldn’t go to Cambodia to study, and I didn’t need a passport and didn’t have to pay the travel fee.

Xiao A said that everyone is in the same village, and they all know each other and live in the same village, so they are not prepared for the road to Cambodia with several other partners.

"We first set off from Guizhou, then went to the Guangxi border on March 26, 2021, then smuggled into Vietnam, and then smuggled to Phnom Penh on April 1. Unexpectedly, a friend sold it to the online investment company in Xigang at a price of US$10,000 per person."

He said that after coming to the online investment company, he found that there were high walls around and there was a power grid, so we were unwilling to ask to return to China, but the other party said that it was OK to return to China, but he had to pay 15,000 US dollars immediately.

Xiao A said that the online investment company is small in scale, with only more than 100 people, and next to it is a club. The security guards inside are very fierce. If we are disobedient, we will be dragged into a room and beaten, and we will often hear calls about people being abused.

"During the period, I was unwilling to do it, so I was beaten. Later, they threatened that if I didn't do it, I would sell it to the next online investment company."

He said that at 3:28 am on June 28, he took the opportunity to jump from the upper floor. As a result, his waist was injured, a compressive fracture, and his lower limbs were unconscious. He could only climb desperately for about half an hour before meeting a tuk-tuk driver, and begged the other party to take him to a hospital.

"After taking an X-ray on me, the hospital said it was a fracture and needed immediate surgery, but the hospital's conditions were limited. It was recommended to transfer the hospital immediately and contact the First Hospital of China and Cambodia. Then he was sent to Phnom Penh."

After one month of treatment at the First Hospital of China and Cambodia, he met Captain Chen Baorong and was discharged from the hospital in August.

Xiao A said that now, I keep exercising every day. Although I am basically not seriously injured, I am still weak below my waist.

"During this period, Captain Chen and other enthusiastic people have been helping me, giving me money to eat and buy clothes. If it weren't for them, I really didn't know what to do!"

He said, keeping Captain Chen's words in mind, "As long as you are alive, there is hope." At the same time, I am very grateful for so many people helping me, and I am even more lucky than other people trapped in the park.

Xiao B, who is also from Guizhou, is even more miserable. He was actually deceived by his nephew and sold it to the online investment company. During this period, he was even intimidated and beaten by his nephew.

Xiao B is 35 years old this year. He said that during the epidemic in 2020, his two nephews said that they hoped to let him go to Thailand, where they worked there for a monthly salary of 8,000 to 10,000 yuan, which is much better than the domestic treatment, and air tickets don’t require any money.

"I got on the plane at Xiamen and found out that we were not going to Thailand at all, but Cambodia."

On June 19, 2020, Xiao B was deceived into Phnom Penh by two nephews. On June 20, we came to a certain park in Bodhisattva Province, . More than 20 days later, he was taken to a park in Phnom Penh.

At that time, Xiao B kept saying that he was unwilling to do it. The park said that he could only let him go back after only half a year. As a result, half a year later, the other party said he would do it for another 8 months. After 8 months, the other party said it would take another year. After one year, I said I could leave, but I had to pay $20,000.Later, he threatened to sell it to an online investment company in Xigang if he was disobedient.

At around 4 a.m. on the evening of November 21, 2021, Xiao B mustered up the courage and jumped directly from the 6th floor, but fell to a tin roof, injured and bleeding all over, and then fell into a coma.

It was not until after waking up that I realized that I was lying in the First Hospital of China and Cambodia. At this time, Xiao B realized that he had escaped from the devil's cave and was in a safe place.

He said that his family was not in good condition and his parents died. During this period, my mobile phone and passport were confiscated, so I have been losing contact with my family and have no money to send it home. I recently learned that my wife had blocked her WeChat and ran away from home, and her whereabouts were unknown. The two children are also fostered in their relatives' homes,

"Others were sold by fellow villagers and friends, but I was sold by my nephew. It will make people laugh when they say it!"

Xiao B choked and said, saying that he had called the police station at home, but the Chinese police had no choice, because both nephews were in Xigang and could not be caught.

Xiao C, who is only 14 years old this year, is from Liuzhou, Guangxi.

He said that he had come to Cambodia by a friend he met on Kuaishou.

"My friend said that working in Cambodia can earn 35,000 yuan a month! My family is very poor. My father is in Guangdong and my mother is in Guangxi. No one cares about me at ordinary times, so I want to make some money."

Xiao C said that our group has 7 people. Along the way, we first took a bus to Nanning , then climbed a mountain and took a boat. Later, it smuggled to Xigang on December 21, 2021, and was sent to the online investment park.

"They asked me to add WeChat, chat with others, slowly get to know each other, deceive the other party, and then cheat money for various reasons, or ask the other party to recharge on a gambling website."

Later, Xiao C and two other minors asked for help from the outside world and found Captain Chen Baorong of the Chinese Cambodia volunteer team.

Unexpectedly, two other friends were found out when the company security guard checked their phones, so they immediately punched and kicked him, and even used electric baton in front of everyone. It was not until recently that he was rescued from the park with the help of Captain Chen.

When asked if he had contacted his family now, Xiao C cried in a low voice and said that WeChat had been blocked and could not be opened, so he could not contact his family at all.

"I regret it very much now. I have too little life experience and too easy to trust people, so I end up with the current outcome. If I can return to China, I will definitely study hard and will not come to Cambodia again." He said that he could not express his life-saving grace in Captain Chen, but I just hope that others will not harm both others and yourself after being deceived into Cambodia like me.

In fact, there are many people in Cambodia who have experienced it like Xiao A, Xiao B, and Xiao C. Some have been rescued, and some are trapped in online investment companies. Perhaps, some people will say that these people deserve it and are all self-deserved and should be subject to legal sanctions.

However, it is undeniable that many people who are forced to engage in online investment and fraud are also victims themselves. Sometimes, can we be more generous and when they are rescued, can we have more sympathy and care?
