The Center will rely on Huake National Governance Research Institute and well-known academic institutions at the United Nations and to carry out academic research focusing on the field of climate governance, and is committed to contributing more wisdom to promote the transformation of the global climate governance system and to actively participate in and lead international cooperation in climate change.
The 9th National Governance System and Governance Capacity Building Summit Forum focused on the "dual carbon" goal and National Governance Modernization . More than 20 experts and scholars, more than 80 on-site teachers and students from universities and research institutions such as Nagoya University in Japan, Sydney University of Science and Technology in Australia, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University , Tsinghua University , Shanghai Jiaotong University , Shandong University , Central University of Finance and Economics, Urban University of Macau, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other universities and research institutions, more than 80 on-site teachers and students, and more than 4,200 online audiences participated in the forum.

The experts and graduate students at the meeting expressed their opinions on issues such as carbon peak carbon neutrality and high-quality development of , carbon peak carbon neutrality and green GDP performance evaluation, and legal interpretation of the "dual carbon" goals.
Professor Sun Yongping said at the closing ceremony that in the face of climate change, all countries are both the problem of attribution and the victims, and international cooperation is the only way to solve the problem. The establishment of the Global Climate Governance Research Center is conducive to integrating the advantages and resources of all parties and further enhancing the capabilities and systems of global climate governance.
Experts and scholars attending the forum unanimously agree that achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality is a systematic economic and social change with multiple goals and multiple constraints, and is of great significance to promoting the modernization of national governance.
