On October 11th news, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website announced the "Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models exempt from Vehicle Purchase Tax" (Batch 59). The new Tesla ModelS and the new Tesla ModelX are among them. The vehicle model is a non-national standard model, indicating that Model S/X will be imported. The
file shows that there are two ModelX models, with pure electric ranges of 664km and 700km respectively. ModelS is also divided into two models, with pure electric ranges of 672km and 715km respectively. The total energy of the battery packs of the four models is 100kWh. The 700km ModelX is currently the dual-motor pure electric SUV with the longest range in China.
It is worth mentioning that Tesla previously announced that the first batch of new Model S/X for Europe will be delivered in November, and reservations will be reopened to Europe. This time, the entry into the "Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models exempt from Vehicle Purchase Tax" means that the new Model S/X will also be delivered in China soon.
Recently, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that in order to support the development of the new energy vehicle industry and promote automobile consumption, the policy of exempting new energy vehicles from vehicle purchase tax will be continued.
