Weng Wei took a photo with his family.
"Dad, look, these are the three good students certificates I have won this semester..." In front of the display screen of the Telemedicine Center of the 477th Hospital of Zhengzhou Joint Logistics Support Center, 7-year-old Weng Qiyuan showed his just-winning certificate and his latest calligraphy and painting works to his father Weng Wei. Immediately afterwards, under the guidance of her mother, Weng Zixin, the youngest daughter who had just learned to speak, said "Happy New Year!" At the other end of the video, Weng Wei, who was thousands of miles away, was so excited that she raised her thumbs up with her hands...

miss your family more during the holidays. As the Spring Festival approaches, the eighth China's peacekeeping medical team to South Sudan conducted a New Year connection with domestic families through a telemedicine consultation system, told their families about the experiences and stories of the peacekeeping mission area, talked about every detail of daily life, and exchanged their most sincere New Year greetings.
In order not to affect work during the day and family rest, although the mission area is 5 hours a day different from that in China, they get up early at 4 a.m. and can't wait to go to this special and meaningful "reunion" with their families. Through the live video, the reporter deeply felt the affection of peacekeeping officers and soldiers missing their relatives in the motherland.

Zhao Jihui is showing his daughter clay paintings.
"Xiaoyu, don't you think of dad? Dad has a gift to give to you. Look, guess what is this?" While speaking, Zhao Jihui, the political commissar of the peacekeeping medical team, picked up a mud painting and showed the introduction to his daughter Zhao Yiyu in front of the video. "This is a Bengal mud painting, a gift from the Year of the Dog given to dad by the Bangladesh Viet and Infantry Battalion Commander Colonel Rahman."

Zhao Jihui took a photo with his family.
It turns out that as early as 2006, during the Spring Festival of the Traditional Chinese Year of the Dog, Zhao Jihui met and became good friends with Colonel Rahman when he was carrying out the mission of the third China peacekeeping transport team to Liberia. Coincidentally, 12 years later, during the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dog, they met on the peacekeeping battlefield in South Sudan, and jointly continued the responsibility and friendship between the Chinese and Meng peacekeeping officers and soldiers.

Chen Yong took a photo with his family.
"Don't worry! Bo Zheng is very well-behaved now. When he is with others, he always says, 'My father is a great hero. He saved many people on the peacekeeping battlefield', so proud!" Through the screen, Chen Xiangli, the lover of Chen Yong, the deputy captain of the peacekeeping medical team, said excitedly that his son helped me with housework when he came home after the winter vacation, and took the initiative to take care of his grandparents. He said that he would take his father as an example and be a man who stands tall.

Chen Yong treats local children.
On December 7 last year, the peacekeeping medical team received a rescue request from the United South Su Mission that a 6-year-old injured child in the refugee camp had to undergo an incision reduction surgery. However, the local sanitary conditions were extremely poor, the child had low resistance, the chance of postoperative infection was high, and the operation was very difficult. As the only orthopedic doctor in the team, Chen Yong successfully performed a reduction surgery on the injured child after careful arrangement and preparation. The children's families at the scene were very grateful and exclaimed: "Chinese doctors are the best doctors we have ever seen."

Li Yan took a photo with his son.
"Mom, I have received the letter you wrote. Mom is very outstanding, I am proud of you!" Soon, the microphone was passed to Bu Yongqi, the son of Li Yan, a nurse in the operating room of the peacekeeping medical team. He said the first sentence. Not long ago, Li Yan wrote a letter from his son through an online email. The letter detailed his work and life after arriving at the task area. At the same time, he also encouraged his son who was about to usher in the college entrance examination to set goals and work hard together.

Li Yan took a photo with her family.
"Son, mom tells you good news. Our medical team has grown its own tomatoes, cucumbers, okra and other vegetables, and we have also received shipping supplies from China. This year, this Spring Festival, we can all eat the taste of our hometown."As the end of the connection, Li Yan showed her son the tomatoes she had just picked, while sharing the interesting stories of their self-reliance in a foreign country to cultivate land and grow vegetables.

Representatives of the peacekeeping medical team saluted their relatives.
In the blink of an eye, more than two hours have passed, and the dawn of South Sudan, thousands of miles away, is about to dawn, and the peacekeeping medical team will usher in a new day of work. The Spring Festival connection is about to come to an end. The representatives of the peacekeeping officers and soldiers in the video stand up and solemnly swear to their relatives: "Please rest assured by the motherland and relatives, we will live up to our trust and mission, successfully complete the peacekeeping mission, and wait for us to return to our triumphant success! "

The children on the scene saluted to the screen.
I saw several children on the scene standing up at the same time, and responding with a not-so-standard military salute through the screen. The reporter was deeply moved by this scene. The peacekeeping warriors used their unreconcilable sacrifices to exchange for the reunion of families in the world that are still in war-torn areas. The military salutes inside and outside this video are more like seeds of peace, which will take root and sprout in the growth of the children...
