Beijing News (Reporter Qu Xiaoyi) On the afternoon of July 28, the organizing committee of the 2021 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition (referred to as "Tourism Exhibition") announced in Beijing that the tourism exhibition will be held in Guilin from October 15 to 17.
It is understood that the tourism exhibition is hosted by Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government . As an important platform for the open development of tourism in China and ASEAN, it has been held for six sessions. A reporter from the Beijing News learned at the release site that this year's tourism exhibition will be held in the online and offline dual-platform mode, with an offline exhibition area of about 25,000 square meters. There are six major venues: the "Belt and Road" theme hall, overseas tourism boutique hall, domestic tourism boutique hall, tourism industry equipment hall, tourism consumption hall and international tourism commodity hall.
Zhang Xilong, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, said that 2021 is not only the beginning of China's "14th Five-Year Plan", but also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN dialogue relations and the year of China-ASEAN sustainable development cooperation. Against this background, this Tourism Exhibition will be committed to implementing the relevant requirements of the "2030 Vision of China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership", deeply integrating into the construction of the "Belt and Road" and promoting high-quality tourism development.
According to reports, this year's tourism exhibition will continue to be held on both "online and offline" platforms. While holding offline physical exhibitions, it will continue to upgrade and launch online "cloud exhibitions", including the use of synchronous live broadcasts, cloud photos and 360° VR cloud roaming, and live broadcasts and streaming on platforms such as Douyin and Kuaishou. At that time, tourism institutions and enterprises from more than 50 countries and regions around the world and more than 20 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) will participate in the exhibition.
This year's tourism exhibition will highlight tourism consumption and focus on economic and trade results. Zhang Xilong pointed out that this tourism exhibition will adapt to the new trend of national tourism consumption quality transformation and upgrading, and set up three major tourism consumption exhibition halls: tourism industry equipment, tourism consumption and international tourism products. At the same time, exhibitors will organize a number of tourism consumption to benefit the people, accelerating the recovery of the tourism economy and the high-quality development of the tourism industry. The tourism exhibition also further optimizes the exhibitor structure, improves the targetedness of professional buyers, and actively carries out trade matching and project pre-match.
In addition, this tourism exhibition will also promote the implementation of more tourism exchange and cooperation projects by holding theme forums and related meetings.
