A wide and clean concrete road winds and leads to Songping Village, Zhongzhai Town. The Gesang flowers on both sides of the road are blooming in full bloom, bright and dazzling, and the fragrance of flowers is refreshing. When the reporter came to the village, the trees swayed in the Leisure and Cultural Square, the crisscrossing roads on the doors were neat and spacious, the green tiles and white walls of the houses were staggered, and a gurgling stream flowed slowly along the front of the village. The stream water was clear, and the green color reflected the emerald of green trees, flowers and plants, which was particularly beautiful, like a poem and a painting.
Hardened cement streets and alleys
Songping Village is 10 kilometers away from Zhongzhai Town. It has a villager group and has 45 poor households and 150 people. For a long time, due to the remote villages, backward infrastructure, single industrial model, and very slow economic development, it is one of the key poor villages in the county.
In 2017, Songping Village was identified by the county as a key village for poverty alleviation. How to change the weak infrastructure in poor villages has become a major event that the leaders are concerned about in their hearts. Through visiting villages and households many times, we have held discussions with the masses to understand the difficulties and ideas of the poor, and to find out the causes of poverty by household, we have formulated assistance plans, assistance measures and assistance plans according to local conditions, which have consolidated the basic work for the village's targeted poverty alleviation . Especially with the strong support of the county's assistance units, the appearance of the village has undergone great changes. Infrastructure such as water circuits and houses and public service facilities such as cultural squares, rural stages, and village clinics have been continuously consolidated. All work of targeted poverty alleviation in the village is at the forefront of the county. At present, a total of 2.6 kilometers of roads in the village have been hardened, 75 dilapidated houses have been renovated, and 26 toilets have been renovated; village-level clinics, cultural squares, convenience service centers, schools, etc. have been repaired and built; pavilions, corridors, water landscapes, and small attractions have dressed up the village very beautifully, the newly planted street trees are green, and the blooming Gesang flowers are colorful, beautifying the village and the streets.

Talking about the changes in the village, Wang Xinwen, who is in his 60s, smiled and looked happy. "We can no longer see the phenomenon of piles and builds randomly in our villages. Public places are clean and hygienic, there are unified garbage disposal sites, special garbage cleaning vehicles, and special cleaning staff on duty."
It is difficult for poor people to increase their income and become rich, and the income increase channels are single, which has always been the biggest problem that plagues leaders and townships at all levels. In order to actively explore the industrial poverty alleviation model, after consultations and pulses from multiple parties, Songping Village’s characteristic industrial poverty alleviation plan came into being. The development idea of “industry to enrich the people” with the leading industry and the small miscellaneous medicines, bubbly breeding, walnuts and pepper as the supplement has become the optimal model for the whole village to “industry to enrich the people”.
The village has established a special breeding model of "leading party branches, leading cooperatives, and increasing income for poor households". Relying on the leadership of large-scale households, four special cooperative organizations have been established to promote large-scale breeding. The "original ecological bee breeding" and "Tao Dai Chinese Medicine Village Planting" farmers' professional cooperatives led by the village party branch have led to the development of breeding and breeding for 36 farmers and 19 poor households. With the support of the county’s Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, 400 beehives were provided for Songping Village to develop family characteristic breeding and effectively drive the increase in income of poor households. In less than a year, Songping Village has developed more than 500 acres of Codonopsis and planted more than 800 acres of small medicinal herbs, and 22 domestic bee farmers have more than 600 honeycombs.

The village has become beautiful and the industry has developed, so foreign tourists come to visit. This summer, all the green corn in the fields near the village were bought at a good price, and tourists were happy to enjoy the fun of the pastoral area. They had to rush to pick it for 2 yuan per person. In addition, the local chickens, ducks, eggs, and honey in the village have become "hot cakes" in the eyes of tourists. I heard from the villager Wang Ruyi that his five native chickens were forced to sell by tourists, and sold for several hundred yuan, which has become a good story!
