Taichung City Fire Department said that it was reported at 6:43 am and gas explosion occurred in a snack bar. Five fire trucks, one ambulance and 21 firefighters were dispatched to deal with it.

The kitchen behind the first floor was suspected to be exploding. The glass and furniture in the store were scattered. The owner of Yu and his wife lived on the third floor. They were accidentally cut by glass when they went downstairs to check. They were bandaged by firefighters and were not sent to the hospital.
The strong impact of the air explosion caused the window glass and the interior decoration to blow out the outside of the house. Fortunately, the store was not open at the time of the incident. There were 5 motorcycles and 2 cars affected by the air explosion at the scene. The police have notified the owners to be present to deal with the situation.
