In 2017, the old couple contracted more than 50 acres and more than 80 paddy fields. The grain harvest last year was good, with the yield per mu of grain fields reaching about 1,100 kilograms, bringing an annual income of more than 40,000 yuan. The family also bought small agricultural machinery and equipment. This year, Tan Dongyang's early rice planted regenerated rice, and the rice grew particularly well on weekdays.
