According to BBC on October 17, 92 naked illegal immigrants were found on the border of Greece and Turkey . Greece and Turkey accused each other. The United Nations Refugee Agency expressed deep pain and called for an investigation.

Greek police said that on October 14 local time, they rescued 92 immigrants near the Turkish border in northern Greece. The immigrants were found unclothed and naked, and some of them were injured.
EU Border Administration officials investigated and found evidence that these immigrants were mainly from Afghanistan and Syrian , and they smuggled from Türkiye into Greek territory in rubber boat .
But it is not clear why these immigrants have no clothing, Greek authorities said they immediately provided clothes, food and first aid measures to immigrants.
United Nations Refugee Agency said they were "deeply saddened" by the discovery of 92 naked immigrants on the Greek and Türkiye border. UNHCR condemned the incident and called for an investigation, "deeply saddened by the shocking reports and images", "we condemn any cruel and degrading practices and call for a comprehensive investigation."
But both Greece and Turkey accused each other of being responsible for it. Greek Civil Defense Minister Takis Theodoricakos said that three Turkish military vehicles transferred immigrants to the borders of the two countries, but this statement has not been verified.
Fahredin Alton, a senior news assistant to Turkish President Erdogan, wrote on social media that the allegations were "fruit and ridiculous" and denied any responsibility for it.
reported that from 2015 to 2016, about 1 million refugees in Syria, Iraqi and Afghanistan fled their territory and arrived in Greece through Turkey. The number of immigrants has since dropped, but Greek authorities said they have recently found an increase in attempts to reach Greek islands through Türkiye's land border.
Greece urged Türkiye to respect the 2016 agreement reached with EU , in which Türkiye agreed to curb the flow of migrants into Europe in exchange for billions of euros of aid.
Theodoricacos said Greece will soon build about 40 kilometers of fence along its northern border with Türkiye to prevent immigrants from entering the country. Last month, Erdogan accused Greece of turning Aegean into a "cemetery" in his speech in the United Nations, saying it adopted an "oppressive policy" against immigration.
