The marathon is not only a sports feast for long-distance running enthusiasts, but also a great opportunity to showcase the city's image. The Changchun International Marathon, which has been continuously for two consecutive years, has shown the beautiful natural scenery and profound cultural heritage of the "Spring City" to the whole country and the world, and has fully demonstrated the urban spirit of "tolerance and grandeur and self-improvement". The 2019 Changchun International Marathon will start on May 26. The marathon road map has been released, and the notice on the implementation of traffic control on some areas and streets during the event has also been officially released recently.
The 2019 Changchun International Marathon continues to use the last event track: Changchun Sports Center is still the starting point of all events, Nanhu Plaza is the end point of the mini marathon, the satellite square is the end point of the ten-kilometer marathon, the junction of Chaodada Road and Kaiyun Street is the end point of the half marathon, and Changchun Sports Center is the end point of the full marathon. The specific route of the track is: Changchun Sports Center (starting point) - Liberation Road - Xinmin Square - Yan'an Street - Nanhu Square (mini end point) - Nanhu Road - Renmin Street - Satellite Plaza (ten kilometers end point) - Satellite Road - Silicon Valley Street - Chaoda Road (South Fourth Ring Road) - Chaoda Road and Kaiyun Street Intersection (half-end point) - Xihu Road ( West Fourth Ring Road ) - Automobile Road - Xing'an Road - Dongfeng Street - Western Expressway - Xi'an Road - People's Square - Renmin Street - Liberation Road - Changchun Sports Center (full end point). In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition, traffic control will be implemented on some areas and streets during the event this year:
1. In the enclosed area of Yatai Street-Dajing Road-Beian Road-Liaoning Road-Furong Bridge-Qingyin Road-Hsinchu Road-Kilung Street-Zhengyang Street-Chuangye Street-Anqing Road-Zinnong Street-Xiangong Street-Xihu Road (inclusive)-Chhada Road (inclusive)-Shengshi Road-Fangcao Street-Ulsan Road, private cars are prohibited from passing through. Vehicles that need to pass enter and exit the area in advance or incorrectly according to the prescribed time.
2. The Ecological Square from the Fourth Ring Road (South Section) to the Dongfeng Street Interchange is prohibited. The truck that needs to pass will detour through the Ring Expressway in advance.
3. During the competition, motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians are prohibited from passing (traveling through) on the track, except for event vehicles and staff.
4. During the competition, temporary and long-term parking of vehicles on both sides of the track is prohibited (excluding parking lots and seats). Vehicles that refuse to drive away and affect the normal progress of the event will be towed according to law.
Traffic control time is from 6 am on May 26 to the end of the competition. During the period of traffic control, citizens in the controlled area are required to choose public transportation or non-motor vehicles and walking methods to minimize unnecessary motor vehicles and reduce road traffic pressure.
