Passengers who do not hold valid vaccination (three shots) certificates will still need to undergo nucleic acid tests within 72 hours of going abroad and present the test certificate issued by the medical institution. When doing testing, be sure to confirm the valid sampling type and detection method. Regarding the sampling type, Throat Swab is not recognized.
The test certificate should have the following content. Please try to use the format specified by the Japanese government (Japanese/English, Chinese) for the test certificate. If the specified format cannot be used, please fill in the "Inspection Application" yourself if you present the test certificate.
(a) Name, date of birth
(b) Sampling type, detection method (only types and methods with recorded formats in the specified format.)
(c) Test result, sampling time, delivery date
(d) Medical institution name
If you have not been vaccinated, don't panic. You can also enter the country with nucleic acid test. The test template and institutions recognized by Japan must pay special attention. Don't find that your nucleic acid report is not compliant and cannot fly, and the losses will be huge.
