Recently, the Lincang Municipal People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution against Liu Mou and others who were transferred to the public security bureau for review and prosecution by Zhenkang County Public Security Bureau for suspected organization, leadership, participation in gang-like organizations and kidnapping. This case is the first case involving gangs filed by the Lincang City Procuratorate. Relying on the special political and social environment of the " Golden Triangle " region, the criminal group led by Liu rented houses in the old street market of the Kokang Autonomous Region of Myanmar and set up a "single house" to detain victims. At the same time, it used the online platform to publish false information such as signing and gambling, handling loans, recruiting workers at high salaries, doing business and trade, and lured Chinese citizens to go abroad to Myanmar Old Street . Later, the victim was taken to the "single house" to detain, and carried out a series of robbery and kidnapping activities to make huge profits, seriously infringing on the personal safety and property rights of Chinese citizens, undermining the economic development of the border areas and the harmony and stability of local society, and seriously damaging the national image. The prosecution in this case marks a new stage in the city's procuratorate's work on cracking down on gangs and eliminating evil.
