After receiving the alarm, the command center of Benxi Fire Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched 4 teams, 11 fire trucks and 49 fire rescue personnel to rush to the fire scene.
8:54, fire rescue personnel arrived at the fire scene. After investigation, it was found that an oil tanker equipped with diesel leaked oil products. The fire at the top and bottom oil outlets were burning rapidly. A large area of flowing fire had formed on the ground, and nearby vehicles and debris were also ignited by the first explosion. It is understood that the tanker has nearly 3 tons of diesel in the tanker and there is a small amount of pressure in the tank, which is likely to cause a secondary explosion.
In order to prevent accidents, fire rescue personnel immediately evacuated nearby onlookers and implemented on-site traffic control. At the same time, the commander ordered the laying of the water belt main line, the setting up water cannons to cool the oil tanker, and the troops were divided into three groups, one group quickly controlled the fire on the ground, one group cooled the tank body, and the other group launched an attack on the oil outlet position.
After an hour of joint efforts to overcome difficulties, at 10 a.m., the open flame was completely extinguished. Finally, after the instrument inspection and confirming that there is no residual diesel in the tank and the possibility of rekindling, the fire rescue personnel collected the entire equipment and evacuated it.
No one was injured at the scene, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
