The plan for the new generation of missile patrol ship of the Taiwan Navy is code-named "Shenhai Plan". The total construction plan of the prototype ship reaches 24.5 billion yuan. Taiwan Shipping Company is actively striving for this "warship self-made" case. In the legal person briefing held this week, Taiwan Shipping Company also exposed the configuration of the new generation of missile patrol ship of the "Shenhai Plan".
According to the information released by the Taiwan Shipbuilding Company, the new generation of missile patrol ships is equipped with a main cannon on the bow. The rear of the main gun was originally planned to be a complete group of 24-tube vertical launch systems. The latest configuration method is to be changed to 3 groups of 8-tube missiles, each of which is still a total of 24-tube missile launch tubes. The middle section of the warship is the command core, and it is designed with an integrated mast, equipped with a new ship combat system developed by the "Chinese Academy of Sciences" in Taiwan and a ship-based phase radar. The middle section of the ship is 4 sets of oblique launch boxes behind the middle section of the ship, which will be used for use by the Xiong secondary sound anti-ship missile and the Xiong San supersonic anti-ship missile.
Relevant personnel from the Taiwan military pointed out that the missile carrying capacity and firepower of the new generation of missile patrol ships are stronger than that of active warships.
