Recently, Xia Dong, vice president of the group (planning and design), led a team to carry out a design follow-up work for the survey and design project (Haimen section) of the Tongxi Expressway Haimen to Tongzhou section with Yan Ping, Jiang Zhengguo, Chen Zhiyong, deputy chief engineers of the Group's Technical Quality Center Yan Tao, Liu Tao, director of the Third Institute of Traffic and Regulations Institute, Liu Bin, project director Li Kaizheng, and project team members, and participated in the design follow-up symposium organized by the Engineering Construction Command.

Return-up team visited the prefabricated beam factory, Tongqi Canal Bridge, New Airport Interchange, Prefabricated Box Connection, and Dongtong Line Bridge, and had in-depth exchanges with the engineering construction command center, engineering supervisor, and construction units. On-site answers and formulated a handling plan for difficulties and difficulties encountered during the construction process.

○ Tongxi Expressway Project Geographical Location Map
Tongxi Expressway Haimen to Tongzhou section route starts from the Yangtze River High-level Highway in Haimen District, and goes northward across G345, Ningqi Railway, Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway, Tonglu Canal, S335, and then is arranged northwest. It spans the G228, Yangtong Expressway, and Tongzhou Bay Port Area Port Channel on the north side of Tongzhou District, and ends at the Xinlian Hub of Shenhai Expressway and the Shanghai-Sutong Bridge North Connection. The total length of the route is 65.400km. The entire line adopts the standard of a two-way six-lane expressway, with a design speed of 120km/h and a total width of the roadbed of 34.5m.
Project Difficulties and Innovations
Survey and Design Project (Haimen Section) of Tongxi Expressway Haimen to Tongzhou Section undertaken by the Third Institute of the Group Traffic Planning Institute. The total length of the route is about 16.198km. The project adopts a resident design, with tight time and heavy tasks, and many control factors: Haimen urban viaduct, Ningqi Railway on the upper crossing, G40 Haimen East Hub, Nantong New Airport Interchange, 1000KV UHV underpass, etc.
The roadbed construction of this project adopts "green while building", and for the first time in the construction of expressways in the province, the design scheme of small-structure fragment (block) prefabricated and on-site assembly is innovative.
