IT Home October 7th news, Acer launched the Swift Edge, known as the "world's lightest 16-inch OLED laptop" today (7th). It is a model "specially designed for a hybrid office model at home/outdoor". It can maximize productivity needs and claims to "perfectly balance performance, safety and durability."
Acer says that Acer Swift Edge (SFA16-41) is equipped with a 4K OLED monitor, supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 500 nits brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, providing theater-level visual effects.
This model adopts a narrow bezel design, with a screen-to-body ratio of 92%, and has passed the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification.
This laptop has built-in Microsoft Pluton security processor, equipped with AMD Ryzen processor, and can choose Ryzen PRO 6000 series and ordinary Ryzen 6000 series processors to defend against increasingly complex security attacks.
According to reports, this laptop weighs only 1.17 kg and has a thickness of only 12.95mm. It uses an ultra-thin magnesium aluminum alloy body, which is easy to carry and durable. For comparison, Acer says the Vivobook S 16X OLED with the same screen specification is 0.7kg lighter.
In other aspects, Swift Edge has added biometric function and Noble Wedge computer anti-theft lock slot, upgraded to Wi-Fi 6E, equipped with 2 USB 3.2 Type-C interfaces with fast charging, two USB Type-A interfaces, an HDMI 2.1 interface, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Acer Swift Edge will be available in some regions this month, with a price starting from US$1,500 in North America and a price starting from RMB 7,999 in China.
