On November 4, the second 1500-ton Maritime Patrol (MPV) , a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, and Huangpu Wenchong , jointly with the Pakistan Karachi Shipyard for the Pakistan Maritime Security Bureau, , the second 1500-ton Maritime Patrol Vessel (MPV) , built by the Pakistan Maritime Security Bureau, was officially delivered and put into service in Karachi.
This ship is designed by China Shipbuilding Group 708 , with a total length of 90 meters. It adopts a long bridge ship design. It is equipped with advanced military, law enforcement, power and conduction systems, and has excellent overall performance.
This ship is the last one in the MPV project series. Its delivery not only marks the perfect end of the project, but also reflects the strong strength of my country's marine defense equipment development . It is of great significance to China Shipbuilding Group and its subsidiaries to further explore the international market and defense equipment foreign trade business, and enhance the credibility and brand influence of China Shipbuilding Group in the overseas military trade market . since the signing of the project, China Shipbuilding Trade, Huangpu Wenchong and other units have actively promoted ship construction work, and have sent more than 50 employees to Pakistan to carry out aid construction.
On July 20, 2018, the 1500-ton maritime patrol bow ship was delivered in Guangzhou. The ship was built in Wenchong, Huangpu. It is mainly used for patrol and law enforcement in the waters under the jurisdiction of Pakistan, responding to asymmetric attacks and threats, protection of exclusive economic zones and fishery grounds, maritime search and rescue, and personnel training.
This series of ship No. 2 was jointly built by Huangpu Wenchong as a technical assistance unit and Pakistan Karachi Shipyard in Pakistan. It is the largest overseas construction project undertaken by Huangpu Wenchong in recent years.
The sudden outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in early 2020 caused great difficulties for the ship during its construction and test sailing. China Shipbuilding Trade and Huangpu Wenchong and other units worked together to face extremely difficult and difficult situations. In order to achieve the delivery node on schedule, the on-site project team worked together with domestic units. The aid workers overcame the impact of the epidemic and various technical and communication problems encountered in the ship construction process, insisted on sailing continuously under the harsh sea conditions of the Indian Ocean monsoon season, overcome difficulties and complete tasks, and made great efforts for the project's scheduled delivery, fully demonstrating the lofty sense of mission and responsibility of Chinese shipbuilders.
