U.S. stocks fell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2.11%, the S&P 500 fell 2.8%, and the Nasdaq fell 3.8%.
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) rose 0.09%. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) rose 0.49%, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) fell 0.40%, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose 0.48%, Google parent company Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) rose 0.16%, Facebook parent company Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:FB) rose 0.24%.
Rivian Automotive (NASDAQ:RIVN) fell 6.86%, after Rivian announced that it was recalling almost all vehicles sold due to loose fasteners on the front suspension of the vehicle.
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) fell 0.25%. Tesla's Shanghai factory delivered another record in September, reaching 83,135 vehicles. Previously, Tesla's Shanghai factory completed its upgrade in early August.
BOSS Direct Recruitment (NASDAQ:BZ) fell 0.18%, submitting a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Futu Securities (NASDAQ:FUTU) fell 2.85%, and Tiger Securities (NASDAQ:TIGR)%.
Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) fell 1.45%, JD (NASDAQ:JD) fell 1.38%, and Pinduoduo (NASDAQ:PDD) fell 1.92%.
Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) fell 1.57%. NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) fell 2.41%.
