Not long ago, the first phase of the drying room project of the Dongmen Village Grain Drying Center was successfully completed and put into production, with up to 300,000 kilograms of rice drying every day. Dongmen Village was once a famous poor village in Xinzhou District. The villagers mainly rely on planting rice and other crops to make a living. The rice planting area in the village is more than 300 acres. In 2017, the Zhonghua Road Street in Wuchang District, which has counterpart assistance, started from the idea of industrial poverty alleviation, and addressed the weak difficulties of the village industry, and helped villagers get rid of poverty by supporting and investing in Huanggong Rice Industry and outsourcing lobster breeding base. After multiple research and demonstration, the village work team decided to launch a grain drying center project to create a drying house to solve the rice drying problem in the village. The work team actively contacted the relevant situation and used policy assistance to strive for subsidies for the drying house. With the efforts of many parties, the drying house has been successfully completed and put into production in the near future.
The village cadres of Dongmen Village introduced that the continuous rains and rains some time ago have caused great inconvenience to grain storage. In previous years, Dongmen Village was so busy that they encountered this situation, but now they are "not panicked at all." At present, the number of cereal dryers in the village's two rice processing enterprises has reached 11 units.
According to reports, after the first phase of drying room project is put into production, up to 300,000 kilograms of rice can be dried every day. This not only solves the problem of rice drying in the village, but also provides grain drying services to large-scale growers around. Currently, the construction of the second phase of drying room packaging assembly line is being promoted. At the same time, the working team will also actively introduce and develop other industries to help Dongmen Village develop industries diversifiedly and promote rural revitalization through industrial revitalization.
