On August 31, 2022, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Detachment of Nanchang Public Security Bureau found a woman suspected of Luo Lanlan in Putian City, Fujian Province through big data investigation, manual DNA comparison and verification. Because Luo Deming's spouse had passed away, the initial investigation of the single parent was not enough to determine, the police immediately contacted the parties involved and carried out verification and comparison of relevant clues.
On September 13, 2022, the Third Brigade of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of Nanchang Public Security Bureau carried out a second comparison and review of the blood samples collected by Luo Deming and Chen Mouzhen. On September 22, 2022, confirmed by the DNA room of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Nanchang Public Security Bureau that Chen Mouzhen, a Fujian woman, was Luo Lanlan, a missing child in Wengang Town, Jinxian County in 1988.
